Compatibility of Tire Size ST225/75R15 on Rims That Now Have Tire Size ST225/70R15

Question:

I bought a used trailer that currently has 225/70r15 tires on it. Will the st225/75r15 fit the same rims?

Yes, the tire size ST225/75R15 will fit just fine on your horse trailer rims that currently have tire size ST225/70R15. The width of these two tires is the same - 225 millimeters - and so is their wheel diameter of 15-inches.

The difference between them is their sidewall aspect ratio, also known as their section height. This height will be greater on the ST225/75R15. Overall tire diameter for a ST225/75R15 tire will be approximately 28.4-inches while your ST225/70R15 tires' overall diameter will be 28.2-inches.
