Question:

Are the Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range D rated MandS? These look tempting. What trailer tires do you carry are rated MandS? Also, do you carry any which are 3peaks winter rated?

Hello Susan, thanks for reaching out. Yes, the Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire – Load Range D # TR20515D is M+S (mud and snow) rated. That marking means the tread design is intended to provide better traction in light snow and slushy conditions compared to a tire without the M+S designation. For trailer use, this is about as good as it gets for winter markings, and it’s a solid choice for mixed conditions and colder weather towing.

As far as the rest of our trailer tire lineup, we do not currently carry any ST trailer tires in this size that are 3-Peak winter rated. That rating is much more common on passenger and LT tires, and it’s extremely rare in true ST trailer tires due to how trailers load and scrub tires differently. For most trailer applications, an M+S rated ST tire like the Provider, combined with proper inflation, conservative speeds, and good weight balance, is the right and realistic solution for winter travel.

What kind of trailer do you have? Will you be anticipate traveling thru some wintry conditions?

@SusanM Nice! That will be a super scenic trip! Yea some solid M/S tires are a good call. A good set or tire chains for the tow vehicle are a good idea too.

I've ben to Montana, and Illinois many times on these tires. They're the only ones I can find that are reliable with the high speed rating. I live in PA and I use Provider tires on my boat trailer and both enclosed trailers. They are absolutely worth the money!! I have many of my customers buy and buy again the provider brands. You wont be sorry.
