Recommended Roller Bunks For Trailer Carrying 16 Foot Ranger Boat

Updated 03/26/2015 | Published 03/25/2015

Question:

I have a 16 foot 1998 ranger boat with ranger trailer. The trailer has 4 bunks, 2 are 5 foot long on the outside of trailer and 2 are 10 foot in center of trailer. I want to put roller bunks on this trailer. I think I need to order 3 sets of the Dutton 5 foot galvanized roller. Is this correct. Thanks for any help you can provide.

You are correct. In order for you to be able to replace all of the bunks you currently have on your trailer you would need 3 sets of the Dutton-Lainson Boat Trailer Deluxe Roller Bunk, part # DL21741. These can be attached to the existing bunks you have. I would recommend using stainless screws when mounting them.

Although they are not required you may also need the Boat Trailer Roller Bunk Bracket, part # DL21742. You need 2 of these brackets for each 5 foot section of the roller bunks. If you decide to use the brackets, I have attached a photo of the brackets with the dimensions shown you can check out.
