Increasing Tire Load Range

Question:
I want to replace all 3 tires on my boat trailer. Im considering going to a load range C. The original tires are a B. Is this a good move?? Are the tires about the same size with a difference in the load range?? Any help or comments will be greatly appreciated !! Thanks!

The load range refers to the horizontal and sidewall strength of the tire. Each load range letter refers to a specific number of tire plies and a load pressure measured in pounds per square inch (psi). A load range of B is 4 ply with a 35 psi load pressure. A load range of C indicates 6 ply with a 50 psi load pressure. The tires are dimensionally the same size, the tire with the heavier load rating essentially has a tread that is 2 plies thicker.
You should not have any problem using the C rated tire.
