Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look at the DeeMaxx 72-inch long rubber hydraulic brake line with the 3/16-inch brass male inverted flare fittings. Now, this brake line here is part of your hydraulic brake system. This is gonna require an additional lines and fittings, which we do sell separately. This line here is typically used to connect an actuator to your main brake line.

Hose length on this is 72 inches. It is a flexible construction, so it is perfect for foldaway trailer tongues, disc brakes, and torsion axles. They use the brass male inverted flare fittings on both ends. The fitting size is 3/16 of an inch. The thread size is 3/8 of an inch by 24, and they are brass, and brass makes a better seal than your steel fittings because brass is more pliable, it helps prevent leaks, splits, and corrosion.

The hose is a rubber hose. It does meet the DOT and SAE standards, and the inner diameter on this hose is 1/8 of an inch. But that's gonna do it for a look at the DeeMaxx 72-inch long rubber hydraulic brake line with the 3/16-inch brass male inverted flare fittings.

Very poor quality on these brake lines. The brass fittings cross thread very easily.

Awesome I finally found some flexible brake lines for my truck. I'm definitely going to be ordering more from y'all. I have a 2001 Toyota tundra and your brake lines have helped me tremendously because before my truck was busting the metal break lines over and over.

Do not order this product. The standard fittings for 3/16 flared brake lines have 3/8"-24 threads. This has something else. I'm not sure what the threads are, maybe they're some metric thread that someone through would be close enough, maybe they were made with really poor quality Chinese dies, whatever the story, the end fittings would not thread into 3/8"-24 fittings, they would start and turn a few threads then jam. Yes, I'm sure it was the firings on the hose which were the problem. I tried multiple fittings from multiple sources which all worked together nicely. I even checked with some good quality US made 3/8" 24 taps and dies The fittings on this hose were the one's which were the wrong size. Also, the flares on both ends of the hose were damaged.

  • Could DeeMax Brake Line # DE64JR be Used in Vehicle
Hey Joe, in theory the DeeMax brake lines part # DE64JR would work for a vehicle but you would need to make sure the fittings are correct and also make sure your brake system is rated for what these are rated for which is 1,600 psi. While these are rubber they do not stretch out when pressurized like one might think.
