Does the Carrier of the Yakima Enclosed Cargo Carrier # Y62VR Lock to Its Tray

Question:
Hello, We are getting ready for a cross-country trip from Chicago to Denver and came across this product that we wish to attach to our hitch. I am concerned if there a way to secure the unit to the tray i.e. with a key? so that someone cant walk by and steal the unit with our baggages inside? Also, is there a way to secure the entire carrier into the hitch area so that someone cant unhook it from the pin and take the entire thing? Thanks,

The answer is: absolutely! The Yakima EXO # Y62VR includes 5 Same Key System locks to secure the system, the carrier, and your gear. A lock secures the base to your vehicle's hitch receiver and locks in the arms secure the cargo carrier. Finally, the cargo carrier has a lock to secure your gear. Because the cargo carrier only uses 1 lock, this EXO configuration will come with an extra lock core.
