Question:

blue ox suggests a 2inch rise for trailer with 6inch tongue frame. is that necessary? have you seen the sway pro without a rise? that was functioning properly?

I spoke to Blue Ox and they informed me that the dimensions of your trailer frame do not designate whether or not you would need to use a 2 inch rise hitch ball like the part # C40036 that you referenced unless you have the older style of Sway Pro. The new version of the system does not require this. Basically you would just need to set the system up like you would normally so that the trailer sits level.

To do that the top of the hitch ball when installed in the head of the Sway Pro will need to sit 2 inches above the bottom of the coupler.
