B and W Patriot Hitch Recommendation for Sidewinder Setup on 5-1/2 bed Truck for More Clearance

Question:

We have a 2006 Ford F150 short bed 5 1/2 feet. We bought a sidewinder to use to give us extra space, but it still doesnt work. Is there any type slider hitch you can use with a sidewinder?

The only possible solution I have for you would be to replace your hitch with the B and W Patriot Hitch part # BWRVK3200. The head of this hitch can be adjusted back an additional 4 inches which would give you more clearance, hopefully enough to make a tight turn with your setup.

The correct wedge would be the part # SWW-06 to use with this hitch.

Slider hitches can't be used with Sidewinders as it would slide the pin box back into the tailgate and would interfere, plus the pivot point would be moved too far away from the rear axle.
