how difficult is it to instal ? would my son and I, be able to do at home with a jack and socket set?

If you take a look at the instructions I have linked for the Timbren helper springs # TFF350SD2 that should give you a good idea of what it takes to perform the installation.
You would need to lift both sides of the vehicle up off the ground because the axle has to hang freely to perform the installation. So if you had 2 jacks and/or jack stands then it would be easy after that to perform the installation. Follow all necessary safety protocol when performing the installation.
These springs just bolt on in place of the factory bump stomps so the only challenge is lifting the vehicle enough and supporting it to allow the axle to hang.
