Can a 5.70-8 Wheel and Tire get Upgraded to a ST205/65-10 Tire and Rim

Updated 01/26/2015 | Published 01/25/2015

Question:

Hello, I have a small, folding motorcycle trailer that currently has Load Star 5.70inch width tires on 8 inch rims, and I was looking for advice on a comparable tire/wheel combo with 10 inch wheels. Im almost certain there will be room under the fender to clear the larger wheels, as there is no suspension in the trailer. Would also like to keep each tire/wheel combo under $100 if possible. Thank you,

As long as you have the additional width clearance for a wider tire a ST205/65-10 tire and rim could work very well for you. This tire will be about 2 inches wider than your current setup.

If you have a wheel bolt pattern of 4 on 4 inch you would want the # AM3H340, if you have a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern you would instead want the part # AM3H350.

If you are unsure what your bolt pattern is check out the FAQ article I attached that details how to determine this info.
