hi patrick, have one more question. i found Traverse OE Harness cables are 5(red, light blue, black, white and grey instead dark blue and brown). how can those be match to your brake controller wires of black, red, white, blue. thanks again

The connector you need for a 2010 Chevy Traverse with Towing package is part # 3026-P. I have added a link to it below.
I am looking at the instructions and it appears you will need a small flat head screw driver to gently pry the plastic push-rivets out to release the panel. I have added a link to the instructions below so you can see where the connector is located.
