We went to our warehouse to pull a brake assembly # 23-27 to create a video showing you how to remove the springs.
To remove the springs, (you may need to have someone assist you) use pliers to push in the spring and then twist counter-clockwise. The retention pin will then release allowing the spring to be removed.
In order to put the spring back on, you will simply repeat the process but twist clockwise instead of counter-clockwise.
I also included a video review too.
