Expert Reply:
The Timbren Front Axle Suspension Enhancement System # TGMFK15A that you referenced is a correct fit for your 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe 4WD as long as the vehicle does not have the Police equipment package. The Timbren rear-axle kit for your vehicle is their part # TGMRG25C, again excluding the Police edition.
Please note that no suspension kit will increase the weight capacity of the vehicle and all such items are intended for use with suspensions that are in good working order.
The linked article will give you lots of good background on Timbren products.
