Ellen: Hey, everybody. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. We're taking a quick look at the replacement rear arm hook for your Yakima EVO HoldUp bike rack. This is going to be a direct replacement from Yakima to get that hook back onto your arm. This is the part that comes up and then locks around the front of your wheel on your bike. This is for the rearmost cradle, so the one that's closest to you when you're standing at the rear of your vehicle and looking at the bike rack.
They are different for each of those arms. The one that would go towards, the further one, towards the front of your vehicle, would be oriented basically in the reverse. The button is towards the middle of the bike rack. The hook is going towards the front of your vehicle, so that's how you know which one you need. Now if this is not the right orientation, we do have the front hook arm available here at etrailer.com.
If you need that one, check it out.But as far as what you get with this, it's just going to be this assembly. It comes pre-assembled. There's no putting it together or anything like that. You've got that button to quickly and easily just ratchet this down and then release it whenever you're ready to take off the bike. It has that rubber coated hook to come down over your tire to give you that nice, quick, easy grab around your wheel.
It goes onto the arm on the side there, so whenever you're getting this installed, it's pretty easy. Just push down the button, slide it onto that arm, and you're pretty much ready to go.So whatever might've happened to that original hook arm, this is going to be the direct replacement to get you back on the road with your bike rack. Again, it is for the Yakima HoldUp EVO, and that's pretty much it for our quick look at the replacement hook arm.
