Dual Folding Arms with Anti-Sway Cradles

Thule Camber 4-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Dual Folding Arms with Anti-Sway Cradles with HitchSwitch Lever

The Thule Camber has dual arms that provide excellent support for your bikes. They slope up to provide ground clearance for steep driveways and bumpy roads.

Thule Camber 4-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Hitch Switch Lever

To fold the arms down, pull up the HitchSwitch lever at the top of the mast. This leaves a smaller footprint, so you can keep the rack on your vehicle to park in your garage. And when stored in this configuration, it doesn't take up as much space in your garage.

Thule Camber 4-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Anti-Sway Cradles

HideAway anti-sway cradles with rubber straps hold your bikes firmly in place. Each set of cradles has two straps that secure your bike along the top tube and one that secures the seat post or downtube. This multi-point contact helps keep your bikes from rocking back and forth, reducing bike-to-bike contact. The soft rubber cradles rotate around the rack's arms to accommodate bikes of different styles and shapes.

Thule Camber 4-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Grooves

The cradles have grooves on the surface that prevent your brake and shifter cables from getting pinched.

Thule Camber 4-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Folding Cradles

Ratchet straps hold your bikes firmly in place on the cradles. You can remove the lower straps and fold the cradles up against the arms to make it easier to slide your bikes onto the rack.

HitchSwitch Lever for Easy Tilting

Thule Camber 4-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Tilting

The rack tilts down without your bikes loaded. This means you won't have to remove the whole rack to access your cargo area for grocery runs and other errands.

Thule Camber 4-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Lower HitchSwitch Lever

To tilt the rack down, pull up HitchSwitch lever at the base of the mast. When you're ready to go, lift the rack up until it snaps into place with an audible click.

Threaded Hitch Pin and Hitch Adapter

Thule EasyFold XT

A threaded hitch pin is included to help eliminate rattle in the hitch receiver during transport. To tighten the pin in your hitch, use the included wrench.

Thule Camber 4-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Hitch Adapter

You can install the rack in a 1-1/4" hitch or in a 2" hitch. To use it in a 1-1/4" hitch, simply remove the adapter with the included Allen key.

Available Security and Adapter Bar

Thule Helium Pro 2-Bike Hanging-Style Rack LocksThule Helium Pro 2-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Locks

A cable lock and hitch lock (sold separately) are available to secure your bikes to the rack and the rack to your vehicle. Additionally, One-Key System locks (sold separately) let you make all your Thule products keyed alike.

Thule Helium Pro 2-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Locking Cable

If you have a women's bike, kid's bike, or any other bike without a straight, horizontal top tube, you will need an adapter bar (sold separately) to properly mount your bike. The bar fits between the seat post and handlebar stem post of your bike to create a top tube so your bike hangs level on the rack.

  • Quality Hitch Bike Rack Recommendation for 4 New Mountain Bikes with Disc Brakes
Another 4 bike rack I would have you consider is the Yakima HoldUp, item # Y02443, along with the Plus 2 Adapter for HoldUp 2 Bike Carrier, 2 inch Hitches, item # Y02446. This rack is a wheel mount style for ease of loading and unloading the bikes and secures the bikes, keeping them from contacting each other or the back of the vehicle. This style is also a good choice for mountain bikes with suspensions because it is it does not compress the frame of the bike and wear the shocks.

  • Bike Rack And Hitch Recommendations For A 2018 Hyundai Sonata
Hey Sarah, The only hitch options we have for a 2018 Sonata are 1-1/4" trailer hitches. The # HR4000 is for 2" hitches so that is not going to work on that vehicle. For a hitch on that car I recommend # C11402, this is a Curt hitch with a 200lb tongue weight capacity. That is the highest capacity for that vehicle. you could use the Hollywood Destination with this hitch using an adapter, but any adapter used is going to reduce the tongue weight capacity of the hitch by 50%. That would...

  • Will Trunk Mount Bike Rack Fit a 2014 Nissan Rogue SL
I do have a way that you can travel with 2 bikes but unfortunately there are no trunk mount bike racks that fit your 2014 Nissan Rogue SL. Instead you'll either have to use a roof mount bike rack or have a trailer hitch installed and use a hitch mount bike rack. For a roof mount option I recommend the SeaSucker Mini Bomber Roof 2 Bike Rack # 298-BM2006 because it combines a roof rack with a bike rack. This means that it can easily be transferred to another vehicle down the road if the...

  • Will Draw-Tite Hitch For 2017 Subaru Outback Work With Thule Camber 4-Bike Rack
For your 2017 Subaru Outback, the Thule Camber 4-Bike Rack # TH9056 is a really nice option and will work perfectly with the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76227. The reason for that is, when we installed this hitch on a 2017 Outback, we found it measured 3 inches from the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper, and the Camber measures 7 inches from the hitch pin to the closest part of the rack, so you'll have plenty of room for the rack to fit without any interference. • Recommended 4-Bike Bike Rack for a 1-1/4 Inch Hitch Receiver
Hey Rachel, thanks for the information. Your Ford Edge has a class II 1-1/4" hitch so you're going to need to go with a different bike rack. The Benton ShiftShow Bike Rack item # B94FR only fits a 2" hitch. Instead of the ShiftShow, I recommend the Thule Camber Bike Rack item # TH9056. This is also a 4-bike hanging bike rack. It has a 37-1/2 lbs weight capacity per bike and fits in class II 1-1/4" hitches. I really like the tilting feature the Chamber has as it gives you better access...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch For Hauling A Bike Rack On A 2003 Honda Accord
For a 2003 Honda Accord I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11327. This trailer hitch comes with a 1-1/4" receiver tube opening so you'll have to use a bike rack with a 1-1/4" shank in order to haul it. The Thule Camber Bike Rack for 4 Bikes # TH9056 you were looking at is compatible with both 1-1/4" and 2" hitches so it would be a compatible option for you. If you could provide a bit more info on your bike(s) then I be happy to look for the best bike rack for your needs.

  • What Hitch Pin Should be Used with Thule Camber Bike Rack
The Thule Camber 4 Bike Rack # TH9056 that you referenced comes with the only hitch pin that should be used with it. It can't be used with standard hitch pins like what you mentioned. This comes with a threaded hitch pin that you thread through the hitch tube and and rack shank which holds the rack tightly to the hitch and prevents movement. To make this a locking hitch pin you'd then want the part # THSTL2.

  • Recommended Hitch and Bike Locks for Thule Camber 4 Bike Rack
You can absolutely add a locking hitch pin and cable lock to your Thule Camber # TH9056. For a locking hitch pin you'll want to use the Thule Snug-Tite # THSTL2 since it will match the threads on the shank of the bike carrier and allow you to secure your rack to your 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, but also reduce rattling and shaking in the receiver. For a lock to secure the bikes to the rack I recommend using the Thule Cable Lock # TH538XT. Both or these parts are compatible with the Thule...

  • Comparing Thule Camber, Range, Yakima Fulltilt, and Ridgeback Bike Racks
Yes the cradles of the Yakima Ridgeback part # Y02458 can be rotated as well as adjusted in and out on the arms to allow for different spacings. So the big difference between this rack and the FullTilt part # Y02462 is that the Fulltilt does not use traditional frame cradles and instead has straps that attach to bottom of arms that hold the frame to the padded arms directly. The Fulltilt would have the nicer cradle setup based on this so it would be what I would recommend. The Thule...

  • Can Dual Receiver and Hitch Extender Be Used Together For Towing with a Bike Rack
It would be too dangerous to use the Curt Extender # C45796 with a dual receiver like that as it would put too much movement on all of the different parts and extenders like this cut your tongue weight in half so your Tacoma would be overloaded. • Thule Apex XT vs. Thule Camber 4-Bike Rack
Hey Joel, There are a couple important differences between the Thule Camber 4-Bike Rack # TH9056 and Thule Apex XT 4-Bike Rack # TH9025XT. One of them is indeed the locks, as the Camber does not have locks while the Apex comes with a lock for the rack as well as a cable lock for the bikes. To some that's worth the additional price, but for me the most important difference is how they install in your hitch. The Camber uses a hitch pin you have to thread in and tighten with the wrench included...

  • Can You Use a Class III Bike Rack in a Class I or Class II Hitch
It sounds like you have a Thule bike rack intended to be used for 2" hitches but only have a 1-1/4" receiver on your SUV's hitch. If you have a 1-1/4" receiver opening you only have a Class I or Class II hitch which is going to limit your options due to weight limits. For instance, a 2" Class III hitch receiver can handle a 2" Class III bike rack (or smaller). However, a 1-1/4" Class I hitch receiver can't hold anything larger than this, so you would not be able to use a Class III bike...

  • Trailer Hitch And Bike Rack Options For A 2024 Mazda CX-30
Hello Lynn thanks for your question. I will start by telling you that unfortunately, it is really not going to be possible to carry a Kuat 4 bike platform rack on a 2024 Mazda CX30. Since it is a smaller car, the only hitch available uses a 1-1/4" receiver. The Kuat 4 bike racks will only work with the larger 2" receiver, like what you have on the 2013 Lexus RX350. The 2" hitches are able to carry quite a bit more weight. If you are needing to haul bikes with the 2024 Mazda CX30, you...

It is important to make sure that you do no exceed this weight rating with the combined total weight of your bikes and the hitch because this can be extremely dangerous. With that being said, I recommend going with the Saris Freedom # SA4412B. Not only is it compatible with Class I 1-1/4" hitches, it also is lighter than the Thule Camber # TH9056...
