All good.

by:

Exactly what I needed and these seem to be difficult to find. Thanks.

by:

Fit and finish seem to be very good. I was please to see the connector block (green round part) retaining screw was threaded into the external shell instead of the block. I also appreciate the internal shield to help prevent shorting against the shell. The matching vehicle side appears to be equally well made

THANKS

I have been very happy with products I have purchased from etrailer. On my last purchase the one of the trailer end connectors was missing the locking retainer screw. Otherwise i have been a very happy customer!

by:

This was the only place I was able to locate the correct wiring connector for a great price. I am grateful because it was a challenge to locate the correct connect but was successful once I found this site.

by:

A similar trailer light connector was installed on my motorcycle cargo trailer when I purchased it way back in 2003. When I purchased my new Gold Wing in 2019, I wanted to use the same type of connector. Since I had to add a new female connector to the bike, I decided to renew the male connector on the trailer. I especially like this connector because it always stays secure when connected. I also wanted the connections to be out of sight when not in use. I have pulled my trailer with this new connection for over 2,500 miles and it has performed great.

Still working great even after a year!

Perfect for my Honda Goldwing connection. Very helpful on the phone and prompt shipping.

by:

Mounted Pollak sockets to left saddle bag of 2018 Can Am Spyder RT for removal of "pigtail" extension to CSC trailer when not in use. This will eliminate any possible damage to hook up wiring and gives much "cleaner" look to hitch installation. I looked everywhere for these sockets, online & three auto parts for what I wanted and only etrailer.com had them and also the lowest price. Could not ask for more, arrived in 3 days, customer service follow up and answered my email technical question within 24 hours. Bookmark them and use on all your trailer needs. I have 4 trailers and do my own work.

by:

Unit works great on my trailer and bike. Went on a trip a couple of weeks ago and had no electrical problems with the connections. They hook up solid and stay there,

by:

The part worked as it should with no pr oblems

by:

I used the male 5 pin on a pull behind motorcycle trailer and the female connecter on a 2008 Harley Davidson. These 2 purchases were perfect for my applications.

Thank you.

There is no information on how to wire up the 5way plug...

All you need to do is undo the set screw. You will need to remove the removable portion from the housing. Then you'll run your wires through the grommet on the back, connect the wires (using the colors I mention below) to the back of the housing and reinsert it, and then tighten back down the set screw and you'll be completely set to go. White - Ground Return Green - Right Turn and Brake Lights Yellow - Left Turn and Brake Lights Red - Auxiliary Circuit Brown - Tail Lights

by:

This very hard to find item is of excellent quality and offers a very snug fit to it's male mate. etrailer had both the male and female items in stock, thereby providing super fast shipment at a very decent price. Prior to etrailer, no other parts provider even provided pictures of this item in their catalog. This item will be used to connect the electrical system of my Bushtec trailer to the mating connector mounted on my 2010 Honda Goldwing. Thank you etrailer!!

Much better than expected as the finish on the connector is completely free of rust, discoloration, or other imperfections associated with open road use items.. Of course the connector is mounted is a area that is subjected to water, rocks, dust and dirt, however I have not had any problems visually or electrically since installation. Mating of the connectors are still snug with perfectly clean electrical contacts.

by:

I purchased this to use on a motorcycle and it is the perfect size. I purchased both pieces and the fit is exactly what i was looking for.

by:

Since I'm using this on a motorcycle I was looking for something that was fairly compact. This connector fit my needs but because it was pretty small it made installing the wires into the side of the pins a bit trying at times. I finally got around this by removing the crimping screws, running the wires straight in and soldering them in place. This worked very well and I feel a bit better about the connection.
However that being said, there's nothing wrong with the screw terminals at all. It's all just a bit small for big hands.

After pulling the trailer behind the motorcycle for several thousand miles I have no complaints. The fit and finish remains like new. Ive had issues with my connection. If I have need for a matching plug or connector Id reorder these in a heartbeat.

by:

It's working fine except the cardboard cylinder deteriorates.

by:

Not much to write about, very simple and basic piece.
But, that's not the story here. etrailer.com is the real story, great site, very well laid out, for people like me. I took some time and looked at everything that I could see on this site. Lots of products sold at prices that just cant be beat. Super fast shipping. I think I got an email the next day my order had shipped. I will be back and will let all my people know all about etailer
Thanks Chris in OR.

Used on a pull behind motorcycle trailer so could go from receiving a 6 pin to a 5 pin. Wired it into loom so can use on more than one motorcycle. Works great. Glad to have found a place that even sold this product.

by:

I like the look, and really easy to install, just make sure you do not strip much off the wire so you can put it through the hole under the screw, so as to not have any extra wire sticking out because they are really close.

by:

I ordered this and came in a timely manner and the price was right thank you

Working great, converted 4-pin flat to 5-oin round as I wanted to add a power wire to trailer. This did the job!

by:

Works great and looks so much better than those black plastic ones.

by:

I've had the receptacle and plug version of this installed between a homemade truckbed trailer and my older toyota truck for several years and it works great, good connection, and easy to install. I went with the 5 conductors as all I needed were left/right signals, brake and running lights. I drive offroad a lot with the trailer without problems. I just received my second order, for an additional trailer, and the plug is really tight, thanks to the conductors being slightly too spread. I'll have to pinch the pins a bit to loosen the fit - easy enough. Otherwise it'd be 5 stars

by:

Wanted to use this plug as the bike and trailer both had them. This was to replace damaged trailer plug. One tube inside the plug was stripped the first time I tried it. The "mechanics" of the plug dictate that only a short bit of wire goes into the tube, to be held in place by a tiny screw. And one was stripped to begin with. I ended up lopping the plug off and going with the 5 pin flat plug. I wouldn't bother trying this plug if a flat connector would work in your application.

  • How To Wire a Harley Ultra Classic with a 5-Pole Round and a Trailer with a 4 Pole Flat
I am guessing that you have a connector similar to the 5-Pole round like part # PK11502. If this is the case, you have two options. You can either remove the 5-Pole round from your Harley and put a 4-Pole flat in place, or you can cut the connector of your trailer and use a 5-Pole connector for the trailer. I imagine the 5-Pole on the bike is mounted pretty well, so I would suggest replacing the trailer connector with a 5-Pole using part # PK11501. Using a circuit tester, like part # 3808,...

The Pollak 5-Pole, Round Pin Trailer Wiring Sockets, item # PK11502, and # PK11501, do not have a standardized wiring configuration. I normally direct my customers to the 6-way wiring configuration, eliminating the middle pin. Then looking inside the connector, where the wires are attached, going clockwise the next terminal (1 o-clock) position can be wired as brake output,...

You do have a few options to get an electric winch, like the Dutton-Lainson StrongArm # TW4015, working, but the 4 Flat will not be able to do so alone. The first will be to add a battery to the trailer. This will usually be my suggestion, but as you do not have brakes on the trailer and it is for a boat trailer, it will not be the best way to go. What I suggest doing is upping your 4 Flat to a 5 Round, both on the trailer and vehicle. The Pollak 5-Pole # PK11502 for the vehicle side,...

You can easily determine which case you are dealing with by using a circuit tester like part # 40376 on the plug.
