A Safe and Comfortable Ride

The HappiJac tie-downs distribute the weight of your camper across the truck's bed to keep the ride comfortable and the camper secure. Holding the camper taut at all four corners and from the front of the bed - as opposed to securing it on top of the bed rails, like a typical bed-mounted system - helps to reduce any front-to-back shifting of your camper during travel. It's designed to make the camper an integrated part of your truck, instead of a heavy load perched on top of it.

HappiJac Tie-Down Centering Guides

The included centering guide locks help you both with loading your camper and keeping it secure. When you back up to load, the locks will nudge the camper into the right spot and make sure it's centered as it slides into your bed. Then they'll essentially hug your camper on each side to hold it snug and keep it from moving. They also put a nice rubber cushion between the truck bed wall and the camper.

Don't Ruin Your Truck's Looks

HappiJac Anchor Points

When you're not using them, these tie-downs will be pretty subtle. The front anchor plates will poke out an inch or so from between the car and the bed, with the brace sitting on the inside of the bed, against the front wall. You'll be able to see it, but it won't interfere with using your bed for other things. The rear anchors install on the bumper, and when you're not using them, the couplers remove from the anchors with a quick quarter-turn. Small and chrome-plated, these anchor points blend right in.

  • Can Brophy Stake Pocket Mounted Camper Tie-Downs Handle 3,000 lb Camper
Hi Adam, The Brophy Stake Pocket Mounted Camper Tie-Downs # TDSF don't technically have a weight capacity, though the turnbuckles they need, the Brophy Basic Turnbuckles w/ Hardware for Camper Tie-Downs # TDHP, have a 3,000 lb weight capacity. So if the camper is 3,250 lbs you'd need to go with a different option like HappiJac tie-downs. If you let me know the year, make, model of your truck as well as things like bed size, what hitch you have, and if you have running boards I can find...

  • Recommended Camper Tie-Downs for 1997 Ford F-350
For your 1997 Ford F-350, it sounds like you are seeking the camper tie-downs for an in-bed camper. I recommend the HappiJac Truck-Mounted Camper Tie-Downs # LC182910-182971 which will give you both the front and rear attachments confirmed to fit both long and short bed models of your specific truck. Then you can use the HappiJac Original Turnbuckles for Camper Tie-Downs - Stainless Steel - Qty 4 # LC182898 or the Quik-Load Turnbuckeles # LC182895.

  • Camper Tie Downs that Fit 2000 Ford F-250 Short Bed with No Hitch
Hey Tyler, I checked with Torklift and they don't have a set of frame mounted camper tie downs for your 2000 Ford F-250 but we do have the Happijac camper tie downs like with the part # LC182910-182971 which instead attaches in the bed of the truck. Would this work for you?

  • Camper Tie Down Options For 2002 Ford F350 Super Duty Crew Cab
Hey Chris, thanks for reaching out. I am happy to look into your running board options, but I will need to know a bit more about your truck first. Do you have running boards on your truck? If so, are they cab length only? Or do they go wheel to wheel? Also, what kind of trailer hitch do you have? Factory or aftermarket? If aftermarket, what brand? Let me know and I will get back to you with some options. I generally guide folks towards the TorkLift tie downs just because they are so robust.

  • Recommended HappiJac Camper Tie-Downs For A 1997 Ford F-350 XLT
The HappiJac Camper Tie-Downs # LC182860 you were looking at unfortunately are not a fit for your 1997 Ford F-350 XLT. Happijac does however offer a fit with the HappiJac Camper Tie-Downs # LC182910-182971. This system mounts in the bed and on the rear bumper and is a bit less expensive than other frame mounted options available for your F-350.

  • Can HappiJac Camper Tie-Downs Be Installed Over Plastic Bed Liners
There are plenty of people who have installed the HappiJac Camper Tie-Downs # LC182910-182971 over a bed-liner so you shouldn't have an issue. The only problem you could run into is the thickness of the liner might force you to source longer hardware to make up for the extra thickness and you could damage the liner as you torque the bolts down. I've attached a customer submitted picture below where they installed it over a plastic liner.

  • HappiJac Camper Tie Downs Installation On 2015 F-350 With 8’ Bed
The stabilizer bar and brackets will be bolted inside the bed and the front anchoring plate will be bolted on between the bed and the cab. If you don't have enough space to get your hand and the plate between them then you'll have to unbolt the bed. You could most likely get enough space if you loosen the bolts and lift the bed a bit with some 2x4's.

  • Recommended Camper Tie-Downs For A 1997 Ford F-250
Hey David, I haven't really heard from anyone saying their truck bed camper couldn't clear the cab, but vehicle manufacturers can make some wild changes after a couple of decades. With your truck being only a few years newer than the camper I'd say you're likely fine because the camper manufacturers would be going off industry standards for trucks at that time. The camper is going to be sitting inside the bed so you can just ask the seller for the measurement from the bottom of the camper...

  • Recommended Camper Tie-Downs For A 2019 Arctic Fox Model 865 In A 2000 Ford F-250 Super Duty
The Brophy Stake Pocket Mounted Camper Tie Downs # TDSF are meant for campers only up to 8' so you wouldn't be able to safely tie down your 2019 Arctic Fox Model 865 Truckbed Camper. Instead I recommend the HappiJac Truck-Mounted Camper Tie-Downs # LC182910-182971 with the HappiJac Original Turnbuckles for Camper Tie-Downs # LC182898. These custom-fit camper tie-downs permanently mount to your truck's body to distribute the weight of your camper and limit movement in all directions. Low-profile...

  • Correct Happijac Tie Down Kit for 2011 Ford F-250
I checked with Happijac and the kit you need for your 2011 Ford F-250 is the part # LC182910-182971 for the tie downs and then for the turnbuckles # LC182897. This is a much better setup than a stake pocket attachment for a camper so I would not recommend the stake pocket route. It's much more secure and much more stable.

  • TorkLift Camper Tie-Downs & Receiver For 2004 Ford F-250 Short Bed Truck W/ Air Lift Helper Springs
Yes, the TorkLift SuperHitch Original Trailer Hitch Receiver # TLF1002 will fit your 2004 Ford F-250 with the 6-3/4' bed. The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs # AL57291 you found are designed to fit with the B&W fifth wheel hitch 1105 or 1199R. If you have either of these it will work on your F-250. Otherwise the Air Lift # AL57393 is the correct kit to fit your F-250. I do recommend considering either the Air Lift # AL88291 (for B&W) or Air Lift # AL88390 as these include...

  • What is the Weight Capacity of the HappiJac Truck-Mounted Camper Tie-Downs LC182910-182971?
That's a great question Mike and I have an interesting answer. There actually isn't any specific weight capacity for the HappiJac Truck-Mounted Camper Tie-Downs item # LC182910-182971. These are designed to handle the weight of any truck bed camper, and that's true of any camper tie-down, which is why there isn't a designated weight rating. If a camper can fit inside the bed of your F-350, the HappiJac tie-downs will safely hold it in place. The only other thing you will need with these...

The HappiJac kit installs a little differently, as it installs in your truck bed as opposed to the frame underneath the bed, but it will still get the job done for you.
