The Rightline Gear Moki Door Step is an excellent product! It’s incredibly sturdy—easily supports up to 400 lbs with no flex—and makes accessing my roof rack a breeze. I love how compact it is; I keep mine stored in the under-compartment area of my Subaru Ascent’s trunk, so it’s always handy when I need it but completely out of the way when I don’t. No more awkward climbing or step stools—this is a must-have for anyone using a roof cargo system!
Absolute must have for the roof platform on our Subaru Ascent, whether that is putting the luggage up top, putting the kayaks up there or loading up the Christmas tree!

Nowhere near as useful as I thought it would be. Doesn't work well putting the top of the windshield into reach when used in the front door.
Hi guys! I’m Rachael, an employee here at etrailer. I wanted to share my experience with the Moki Step. I’ve had this for a couple of years and use it all the time, but Moki has recently come out with an updated version.
What do I like about it?
New Folding Hook – The biggest upgrade! This makes it more compact for storage.
Grippy Tread Surface – The texture has changed slightly but still provides a solid, non-slip surface.
Smaller Hook Size – Fits better in tighter spots on my car’s door frame post.
What do I use it for?
Loading and securing a cargo bag, cargo box or cargo baskets on my roof
Hauling kayaks and tying them down properly
Clearing snow from my car roof during winter storms
Helping my dad clean his truck and camper shell, especially under pine trees where sap builds up

sturdy. easy to use. adjustments work as described. doesnt work on front doors of my 2004 ram 2500. works great on rear door jams.
It works great, it help me reach the top of my truck without getting on the bed. I also bought one for my suv.
Wow! This makes reaching the top of the truck SO much easier; especially in the Arizona heat of summer.

great addition to F250 4x4 with factory lift... it makes is so easy to access the roof & camper shell ! If you have truck or SUV its a must have!!!
Excellent quality, I've already tried it out and it makes it so much easier to get to my "THULE CARGO BOX,XT ---XXL.I ran into a person that has the same problem, he's 5'8" tall and drives a new Subaru Outback.Has a cargo box and it's hard for him to reach it.I showed him what I have,tried it on his Subaru as well as he did and he loves it.Gave him the name of your company.(Sorry I don't know how to send pictures on my phone)

Still working perfectly perfect, the Hook itself could be a little bit wider because the round stock itself is bigger in diameter than the gap in the hook, other than thatits working just perfect.In fact its alot cheaper than a ladder.
Very useful and well made, I was wondering how I would be able to reach the contents of my roof carrier and this door step was the answer.
The Moki Door Step makes it much easier to load bikes, snowboards, skis, rafts, kayaks, etc. on the roof racks of my 4Runner & tundra. Others who have seen me using it ask where I got it. So I let them know about eTrailer & the great service, support and fast shipping the company staff provides to customers!
My parents had gotten this for me, and I like it so much that I bought one for a friend. When hauling my 5th wheel camper, the kayaks go on the roof of the truck. It's a bit of a stretch to get them tied down. This step is easy to put in place, is sturdy, and makes it much easier to reach the roof.
Seems solid and works well overall with most of our door latches. A few are at an angle where it's still workable, but not ideal. Great for detailing/polishing roofs and loading overhead storage compartments especially with SUV's. Downside, Made in China, I would have paid a lot more if they were Made in the USA, but none are.
purchased this step for my wife to use to load/unload a kayak on a 2017 Outback. Item fits both front and rear door latches, is stable, and, because it is solidly made, gives her the confidence to get high enough without fear of falling. great product.

Still looks and works like new
Again, etrailer comes through strong. I bought a hitch cargo rack last year and got rear ended. The rack got bend to [****] but minor damage to the Ascent. Everything they sell is tested and shared with the consumer. The videos are amazing and I wouldn’t buy anything legit for my vehicle from anyone else. Can’t wait to use the door step. It’s strong as [****] and bigger than I thought which is awesome when trying to get stuff off the roof rack. Go to the source of companies that specialize in what you need. This is the place.
The end of the platform doesn't fit my 2020 Wrangler JL door flame. OEM door has narrower flame so it doesn't stay stable.

This little step is great! It lives in my car. I’m only 5’2” so this thing puts me at perfect height to load and unload my rooftop cargo box.
This carrier is the largest waterproof bag that I found. I will be using it to transport various sundries to and from my children's college. Of course the lock will be necessary when we need to park it overnight and so no worries. The best little gizmo--the 'step stool' is ingenious!
This is a great tool. The only thing I would recommend to anyone is maybe find something to put between it and your door jamb on your vehicle to spread the weight out some more. I used mine and put a small dent in my door jamb. 6’3” 230lbs. Not a problem with the door step but just how thin the metal is on these new cars these days! Thanks
I can not express how easy this tool made it to load our rooftop cargo bag.
doesn't quite work on all SUV door latches. Used it on a 2020 Volvo XC90 inscription and much of the plastic coating pealed off of the Door step. Still use it, I just have to be really careful to make sure the product does not cause damage.
