Controller was an exact fit for old, defective unit. Even the wires were the same color as the original.

Works great. No problems.

by:

The control unit fit into the same mount position, all the electrical connections worked well and overall, this was the exact replacement unit that I needed.

by:

I had know idea which controller I needed to repair the electric steps on our Motorhome. Sheryl H at etrailer was a tremendous help and did a bunch of research to make sure the right part would be shipped. That was on a Friday. Believe it or not USPS delivered the new controller on Monday. I was able to install and swap the wires from the old controller to the new one and it fit perfectly. And it also fixed the problem I had with the steps.
Thank you Sheryl H and etrailer!

It’s working great! I have bought and used many items from etrailer and every item has fit and worked perfectly. The how to You Tube video’s have given me the confidence to tackle anything from Motorhome suspensions to installing all items necessary to tow my Colorado behind it. I would highly recommend etrailer for any towing needs.

by:

I know when I need a part for our motorhome I can trust E-trailer to provide the right part at a good price and ship it promptly.

by:

Talked to Kimberly and she was able to tell me which control unit I need for my motorhome. The unity arrived in a timely matter it was very easy to install. The only difference in operation is in the switch on the wall you put it in the on position to keep stairs locked open where before you kept the switch in the off position to keep stairs locked open

by:

a great company to deal with and top line products at the right price.

by:

worked fine as replacement for failed control unit. Easy to install except original motor supply was hard wired to the original control unit. Had to splice in a new connector between the CU and the original motor leads. Really no problem, and I'm completely satisfied with the new unit. Step works perfectly again!

I have grown to use etrailer.com as my first source in finding the hard to find parts for my RV and also for towing my Jeep Wrangler. My Kwikee step system has always been unreliable, and was a constant item on my annual RV servicing. I was able to identify the required components, make a quick and efficient repair and my steps are working great after a year. Also, the videos are a fantastic help.

by:

Parts came on time. Excellent service

by:

Great service again good to deL with

by:

My RV steps were not extending and my mechanic said the modular was not sending a signal to the motor. He went onto his phone and within 5 minutes or so had the modular part ordered from trailer. It was very easy. Then in less than a week we had the correct part delivrredto the house. Mike crawled under the steps and within a few minutes replaced the part and my steps were again working.

by:

The item arrived when it said it was going to and worked like a charm. My steps now glide as they are supposed to. Thank you Tayler.

by:

We recently had to troubleshoot a step that wouldn't retract. I didn't have the parts, at the time, so I had to disconnect the linkage and zip tie the step into the retracted position. Had I had the parts...I would have been able to fix the steps.

Part numbers can be confusing. LCI publishes a guide to help...

Now we carry spare parts...fuses, motor, and this controller...plus a couple of wire harnesses to make the next event...a non-event. The parts are easy to change out...and you'll be back to normal in no time.

by:

After replacing the step slides three times because of making them run in and out by a reversing switch and forgetting to bring them back in and hitting something and bending the slides I am so glad we found your replacement automatic control box. Now we don't have to worry if they have come in when the door closes. Thank you for offering such a great part. I highly recommend this part.

by:

Item worked as needed. No issues. Just operates backward on control switch from my 1998 version. My original version always followed the door when the switch was on and stayed out when the switch was off. Now these newer ones do the opposite.

by:

The control unit burned out after 7 months. Just got around to testing it (Weather)according to Kwikees owners manual. Called etrailer. they gave me Kwikees phone number. It looks like kwikee will be sending out another unit soon fingers crossed. Had three days left on a 1 year warranty. Mik. 5 stars for etrailer

We have a 2020 Fleetwood Flair that needed a control module for the kwikee steps. Bailey was able to cross numbers from the old one to the new one. Fast delivery, ten minutes had it installed and worked like new. Price was way lower than anyone else. Customer service was excellent. Thanks Bailey.

by:

Installed new controller for electric steps (Kwikee 32 series built in 2003) and it works like a champ. Thought I might have to replace or rewire the magnetic door switch but steps work good as new.

by:

This replacement park is exactly what it needed to be. It fit, it worked and it was fast. We continue to rely on it as we don't give it a second thought. As it should be

  • What is the Correct Replacement Control Unit for My 1996 Kwikee Step
I have a solution for you, but the Replacement Control Unit for Kwikee Electric RV Steps # LC379146 is not the correct replacement unit for your Kwikee step. The correct control unit you need to replace the #909513 is the Replacement Control Unit for Kwikee 38 Series Electric RV Steps # LC363989. • Troubleshooting Kwikee RV Steps On A 2022 Jayco Motorhome That Keep Retracting
If your Kwikee Steps # LC3711363 all of a sudden aren't operating correctly on a nearly brand new motorhome then my first recommendation would be to check the wiring for any damage or loose connections and then test the ground and the 12v power wire to ensure it's actually getting a full 12 volts. As for the switch, you'll want to have it on to keep the steps out when the door is closed. If the override switch is off then the steps will go back to normal mode, which means the steps will...

  • Difference Between Controllers for Lippert Steps
You're right, they do operate similarly, so the difference between controllers is the model of steps they work with. For example, part # LC379146 is for "pre-IMGL" step units that were manufactured from 1999 to 2005 while part # LC379604 is for Kwikee 37 and 42 Series. I've added a link to each of our step controls for you to check out or if you let me know what model number or series Kwikee steps you have I'd be happy to try and find the right control for you.

  • What Would Cause The Ground Wire To Spark On Kwikee Step Controller When Attaching To Frame?
There are only 2 reasons the green ground wire would spark on the Control Unit # LC379146 when you are installing it on your step. The first would be an issue with the wiring for your steps or the control unit itself is damaged internally. I recommend checking the wiring for your steps first to determine that only the wires which should have 12 volt power have power. There could be a short in the harness going to the steps which is causing an issue. If you let me know what exact set of...
