Due to the age of your Kwikee Series 32 steps you are going to need to upgrade them with the Kit # LC379145. This will give you a new control unit, motor and gear box which have been updated to have more torque for better performance, reliability and longevity. You can not replace with just the Control Unit # LC379146 you found as it is designed to work on the new motor and the old control units are obsolete.

Hey Dennis, how did the upgrade kit for your Kwikee Series 32 steps work out? Did the new motor and control unit improve the step performance like you were hoping? Your update could make it easier for others with older steps to decide on the same upgrade.
