Replaces the motor for your Kwikee powered RV entry steps. Attaches to the linkage (sold separately) underneath step mounting plate to provide power for extension. Automatic shut-down feature retracts steps if they strike an obstacle.

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Lippert Components Kwikee Step Motor. This Kwikee Step Motor is for 25 Series units by Lippert Components. It's designed to help the step automatically extend when you open your RV door and retract when you close your RV door. This is an exact replacement part, mounts the same way as your existing motor.It does feature weatherproof wiring and a weatherproof connector to prevent shorts and corrosion in the system. It's a really nice, durable design. We've got protective finishing over the metal components to keep everything safe from rust and corrosion over the gearing, here.
And then the motor housing is a durable plastic construction. It's going to use the same mount hole design, and then again, when it comes to the wiring, internally, it's all weatherproof. It's sealed. It's safe. And then it use a weatherproof connector right here to connect the motor to the actual step assembly.That's going to do it for today's look at the Lippert Components Kwikee Step Motor..
I am keeping the one I ordered as a spare. I was able to replace the worn gear on my currently motor. Pinion Gear for 214 Series Motor is only $9.99 from amequipment.com. I encourage etrailer to place a bulk order of this gear for resale. Your shipping cost will be much less than the $22.00 flat rate that AM Equipment charges. Took less than 30 minutes to change the gear on the motor.
Other suppliers wanted over $800.00 for the parts to repair my RV automatic steps including parts I did not need. I got exactly what I needed from eTrailer for a little over $300.00. I installed the new drive gear and motor in about an hour. Now the steps extend and retract smooth and quiet. (UPS delivery was a couple of days later than I expected, otherwise I would have given 5 stars.)
Great replacement part. Works quiet and smooth. Hated to buy the whole thing, but since you can't get just the small gear which stripped out on the old working motor, went with new motor.

The motor was shipped quickly and deliverd as promised. The motor worked fine. We through new screws were included as the picture indicated so I had to find them. But overall the service was the usual great!
Works great. Swapped over original cog and washers after watching video. Took like 5 minutes.
What I ordered and quicker than they said. A shame I could not get just the gear from e-trailer. Got the $XX gear from AM Equipment.

The item I reviewed was a step motor for my Motorhome entry steps - it solved the problem and is still working like new. BTW: I have purchased many RV items from etrailer and have always been very satisfied, never any problem............
Easy install, perfect fit.
Fast response to parts requested - direct replacement, needed no modification and very easy to install. Will definitely consider e-trailer for futures needs.
