Video Transcript for A Closer Look at the Swing Out Extension Brackets for HappiJac Truck Camper Jack Systems

Today we're take a look at the swing out extension brackets for the HappiJac truck camper jacks. It's for a quantity of two brackets. Now, these swing out extension brackets allow you to adjust the location of your HappiJac truck camper jacks. The swing out bracket kit is a durable solution for jacks that need extra clearance like on a dual wheel chassis application or just a camper that wants extra stability when loading and unloading. These brackets will offer a 3.5 inch to 4.5 inch extension for the HappiJac camper jacks depending on your existing bracket location. Basically, these will swing out 90 degrees. So you can see here just to show you how it works, when you mount these, the spring will be at the bottom.

This'll mount to your camper and your jack will mount to this part here. So when you push in on that spring at the bottom, it'll release it and you can see as you rotate at 90 degrees, that it'll lock into position. So it rotates it out that extra few inches. And then to push it back, it'll go back to the other position. So very simple to operate.Does include everything shown here on the table, the two brackets, the installation hardware, nice set of detailed instructions that'll describe how to install it.

And these parts are made in the USA. But that should do it for the review on the swing out extension brackets for the HappiJac truck camper..

I'm glad these helped save you from a trip to a dealer for a new camper! Where are you headed to for your next trip?

by:

I needed these for a camper we are purchasing. It has Happijacs on it but since I have a dually I needed the extra width. Solid well built units. Fast free shipping.

Great. No issues

by:

I like the stability the happy jacks extension provides.much easier to unload/load the tv.

by:

Always great customer service, support, and product availability. The HappiJac swing-outs are well engineered and strong. This is the third set I have purchased for three different campers. The instruction sheet is well written and easy to understand. Installation is simple if you follow the instructions.

by:

Perfect fit for a fine product. Easy in stallation.

by:

Very well made and specific for my application, using a dually to fit under our Northern Lite truck camper.

by:

The Product works extremely well. For my application I had to make an intermediate plate that had shorter holes to attach to the camper. The mechanism and build quality of the extension is very well made. I was able to attach it to the adapter plate that I made. For others who might buy this keep in mind the holes are 7 1/4" apart. I had holes on the camper that were short distance apart so an adapter was required plus adding additional holes for the outside of the extension. You would need a drill press to get the holes exact. Once done this mated to the camper and the photos show the beginning and end result. Would be nice if a bracket with oblong holes could be added to the kit to help fit various size campers.

by:

Very stout, good fit...........worked perfectly with the Happy Jacks

by:

Worked as advertised. Shipping snafu that too a phone call to sort out and my trip was almost ruined if these didn’t show up on time, but it worked out with 6 hours to spare. So all good. This is my third order and customer service has been great every time. ExCelt for the hold time. Popular place I guess!

These brackets went on a 1998 Bigfoot 2500 10’6” truck camper and I had less than an inch to spare from fenders on each side. Super tight. And if they were any wider, when the camper is in the truck and you swing them forward to close the doors, they would hit the jacks. So you’d have to run the camper back further... so anyway. Just good enough to get job done. Well made product.

Couldn't have been smoother from order to installation.

by:

I needed theses swing out extenders to load my camper onto my dually. Greg was very helpful with my order and getting them to me timely. Perfect fit and easy to install.

by:

These are very heavy duty and bolted right up to my front jacks. Plenty of room for by dually truck to back in.

by:

Exactly what I needed and arrived promptly. Quality product.

by:

Products working well. Ordered another set for another truck.

by:

Top shelf customer sales and customer s ervice

by:

You did good , Thank you

by:

Product was as advertised at the best price I was able to find after some searching. I paid a little extra to use UPS for shipping and was pleased and surprised how fast my brackets were delivered to my front door. I took me about 15 minutes to replaced my failed bracket with a new one.
The only problem was these extension brackets is that they are only sold in pairs. I only needed one to replace a failed (failed due to accident) one.

by:

They went on the camper easily, less than an hour for both sides.

by:

These are replacements for brackets that I bent (don't ask). I ordered from eTrailer since you guys sell real made in USA HappiJack brackets and they are only $20 more than the Chinese knock-offs on Amazon. When I ordered, the website said they were in stock, and would be delivered in 3 days. That seemed strange since I live in California. 3 days passed and they would now ship in 3 more days. After several phone calls, Naomi (who was very helpful) found out that there was a manufacturer's recall on these items for a safety upgrade. Bottom line is that I received them in 2 weeks, put them on, and my camper is now back to normal. Thanks guys (and gal).

Sorry that it took longer than originally expected but I'm glad that we were able to get you exactly what you were needing. I do feel like you just told me to not look by saying don't ask... so now I feel inclined to ask what happened...

@GwendolynY It wasn't really that bad. I have a pedestal that the camper sits on when not on the truck. I built it out of 3/4" plywood and 4x4's since our original camper was heavy, and current one is even heavier. The pedestal is HEAVY. To mount the camper onto the truck I need to jack it up and then move the pedestal out f the way. To do that, I pry the pedestal up and put a furniture mover (with casters) under each end. Then I have to move the other cars in the driveway around and roll the pedestal over to where it sits when the camper is on the truck. I did all that, raised the camper and was about to back the truck under it when I discovered that I had forgotten to swing the front jacks out. Now I had the camper up in the air and could not get the truck under it. How cold I fix this situation without going through the whole procedure again (twice..once to set the camper back down onto the pedestal and then to raise it up again with the jacks in their proper position)? So I got one of my jack stands that I use when working on vehicles with the idea to lower the camper until one corner sat on the stand, raise that jack a little, swing it out, lower it back down, and repeat with the other side. All went well until I pushed the wrong button on the electric jack controller with one corner of the camper resting on my jack stand and some pieces of 4x4, and got the camper leaning perilously to one side. When I got it back level, (with the jacks properly swung out) I noticed that they were no longer vertical. I had bent the swing-out brackets when the camper was leaning. So that is why I needed new brackets.

@Steve Thanks for sharing your story — we have all had moment like this, I know I have. It’s also great hearing how folks adapt and build creative solutions like the pedestal you built. It sounds like a serious piece of craftsmanship, Steve!

Easy to install

by:

The extension brackets arrived in great shape! No issues with packaging.

by:

This is the second time I have had to buy there because the manufacturer is not building them strong enough when you swing them out that adds additional stress when raising the camper they need to double the thickness of the metal! Please send this comment to manufacturer

I appreciate the feedback and I did send it onto Lippert. If I happen to hear anything back I will let you know.

by:

The product came earlier than anticipated and took about 20 minutes to install them both. My only issue was the way these brackets were packaged. The mounting bolts on one of the brackets had gone thru the cardboard box and the threads on one bolt was damaged to the point I had to take a thread file to it before the nut would engage. This took longer to fix than the actual installation.

by:

Perfect for my application thank you.

by:

I have not installed these camper jack swing out brackets yet but thy look to be very well engineered.
The service that I received from etrailer exceptional, Thank You.
