You've got a big RV to cool and chilly mornings that sneak up fast. This rooftop unit from GE Appliances has an AC for hot days and a built-in heat pump for cooler nights. Great for saving propane by using electric heat during cooler weather.

Highlights

  • Heats and Cools Like It Should: 15,000 BTUs of real cooling power - perfect for larger rigs, camping in hotter climates, or if you want more aggressive temperature control.
  • Works with Your Ducts: Made for ducted RV systems, so cool air flows through your vents and reaches every part of your RV.

  • Built-In Heat Pump for Electric Heating: Adds electric heat to keep your RV comfortable without relying on your propane furnace.

  • Future-Proof Cooling: Runs on R32 refrigerant, so you're not stuck with an outdated system in a year or two.

Features to know about

Extra Power

If you've got more RV to cool, or you're chasing summer across the Southwest, a standard AC unit might not cut it. This 15,000 Btu rooftop system from GE Appliances gives you more cooling power for bigger rigs, hotter climates, or anyone who just wants to beat the heat. It gives you more muscle to handle hot days, high ceilings, and sun-baked campgrounds without breaking a sweat.

Heats Without Wasting Propane

Heating with propane brings two problems: it costs more than you think, and you're never sure if you have enough to get through the night. This rooftop unit with a built-in heat pump changes that. The heat pump uses electric power to take the edge off cold mornings, so your furnace doesn't have to do all the work. You get reliable warmth through the same ceiling assembly you use for cooling, and the more you heat with electric, the less propane you burn. It's one less system to manage, and one more reason you can camp longer without thinking about your fuel gauge.

Ties Into Your Existing Ductwork

This ducted air conditioner pushes cooled air through the vents in the ceiling, delivering consistent airflow across multiple rooms in your RV. With a GE ducted system, the rooftop unit connects to a ceiling assembly that ties into your existing ductwork, giving you whole-RV comfort with a clean, built-in look. It's a great choice for larger RVs or anyone who wants to control airflow from front to back, not just in the room below the AC. If you already have ducts in place, this setup gives you full-zone cooling without compromising space or layout.

A Smarter, Future-Ready Choice

A lot's changed in RV cooling over the years, and one of the biggest shifts is what's inside the system - not just the tech, but the refrigerant itself. This model uses R-32, a newer refrigerant that cools efficiently while producing significantly less environmental impact. It's cleaner, more future-friendly, and already becoming the standard across the industry. If you're replacing an aging unit, you're not just upgrading your airflow you're upgrading what's behind it.

Had this unit installed professionally and immediately went in a camping trip. Unit is not working properly. I have been told it is probably a faulty temperature sensor. No one at GE will help me because they will only speak to a technician. Every technician I have called in my area will not work on GE telling me they are a nightmare took in and with.

@NickS thank you for the reply. Someone has contacted me from E trailers and it is getting me the replacement part under warranty. And just to be clear on my review, my complaint is not with E trailer. My complaint is with GE who has been no help whatsoever.

  • Replacement AC for Coleman Mach 7000 on 2003 Fleetwood Discovery 38U
Hey Keith! I just got your questions so I'll address everything on this one. All of the replacement AC units have switched to the new R32 refrigerant so a complete replacement is necessary. This will include a wall thermostat so you don't have to worry about compatibility or if the existing one even works. The GE AC you were looking at will work as a replacement for the Coleman. The correct system will depend on whether you have a ducted or ductless setup, the color, and if you want the...

  • Replacement AC System w/ Heat Pump for a Dometic AC
Hey Cody. We do not have any Dometic replacement AC units or compatible systems that you could use. In order to replace your AC and add a heat pump you'll need to purchase a new system. I have a couple of options for you but none of them are going to be plug and play. These are brand new systems from GE that include a heat pump along with a 15,000 btu AC unit. These units have the new R32 refrigerant which meets 2025 EPA regulations so they're not going to be backwards compatible with...

  • Replacement AC System w/ Heat Pump for a Dometic Duo-Therm AC
Hey Keith! I have a couple of options for you but none of them are going to be plug and play. These are brand new systems from GE that include a heat pump along with a 15,000 btu AC unit. These units have the new R32 refrigerant which meets 2025 EPA regulations so they're not going to be backwards compatible with your current air distribution box or thermostat. Which one you need will depend on whether or not you have a ducted or ductless system. I have listed both options below: Ducted...

  • Recommended 15,000 Btu AC System w/ a Heat Pump
Hey Daniel. The only setups we have that include a heat pump also require the use of an air distribution box. They are the GE Appliances Deluxe Plus RV AC System w/ Heat Pump item # GE85ZR, in white or item # GE75ZR, in black. These are both 15,000 Btu AC systems with heat pumps that include everything you need to get up and running. They have the new R32 refrigerant, which means they won't be backwards compatible with any of your current AC parts.

  • Replacement AC System for a GE ARH15ABCCL2 AC w/ a Heat Pump
Hey Ken, thanks for the information! To replace your ARH15ABCCL2 unit, I highly recommend the ducted GE Appliances Deluxe Plus RV AC System w/ Heat Pump item # GE85ZR in white or item # GE75ZR in black. These 15,000 btu systems have the new R32 coolant which is more efficient and brand new for 2025. • Replacement AC System for a Dometic Penguin II w/ Heat Pump 651916H751C0-M
Hey Mark, it is not. The Dometic Penguin II High Capacity RV Air Conditioner item # DMC68ZR is 651916HXX1C0-01 or Dometic part number 9600003815. We do not carry this unit anymore nor do we have an option to replace your Dometic Penguin II 651916H751C0-M. The new AC systems have converted over to the new R32 refrigerant so the only solution I would have to replace your AC units are with brand new systems like the GE Appliances Deluxe Plus RV AC System w/ Heat item # GE34RR for ductless...

  • Replacement AC for a GE AC Unit Model ARC13AACBL2
Hey Eric, thanks for the information! Your older GE ARC13AACBL2 with 410a refrigerant is not going to be compatible with any AC components that came out this year. Everything has the new R32 refrigerant now so it's made all the 410a systems and components obsolete. I recommend upgrading your entire system now because spare parts for the old 410a systems are not going to be around long and you won't be able to source replacements down the road. Here are the options I have to replace your...
