Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Fastway replacement trunnion spring bar. Now this replacement spring bar is designed for use with your Fastway's E2 weight distribution systems with a maximum tongue weight of 800 pounds. So this is the direct replacement from Fastway, so you can trust that this is going to fit right in place of that original spring bar. You're not gonna have to worry about compatibility issues, fitment issues, or anything like that. Just to give you the further confidence this is going to work for you, I'm putting a tape measure up to this and it looks like the overall length, we're sitting right at about 34 and one eighth inches, and then looking at the width about one and one eighth inches.

Congrats on the new trailer! However you need to know the loaded tongue weight of your trailer, as the dry weight is not a useful figure. With your trailer fully loaded like you'll be towing it use either the scale method in the below help article or a tongue weight scale like the # e99044. Can Fastway e2 Spring Bars Be Swapped for Different Trailers
Yes, you can replace the arms on your 10k system so it has the same rating as the # FA92-00-0600. The correct replacement bars are the # FA92-02-0699. This will give your Fastway e2 a tongue weight rating of 250 lbs - 600 lbs so make sure the tongue weight of your loaded setup falls into that range. If a range of 400 lbs - 800 lbs would be more appropriate you can use the arms from the 8k system # FA92-02-0899.

Upgrading Fastway e2 Weight Distribution from 6,000 lbs to 8,000 lbs
To upgrade your Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control # FA92-00-0600 rated for 6,000 lbs to the 8,000 lbs system you will simply need part # FA92-01-0899. If you were to order the part # FA92-02-0899 you would also need the Socket Mounts # FA92-02-0844 since the 8,000 lb bar are bigger than the 6,000 lb bars.

I do have an option for you but you will need part # FA92-01-0899 instead of part # FA92-02-0899 to fit the weight distribution head. The Replacement Trunnion Spring Bars for Fastway e2 Weight Distribution Systems part # FA92-01-0899 will work fine with the head of the Fastway e2 10,000 lbs Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control part # FA92-00-1000. Fastway e2 Weight Distribution Hitch Trunnion Bar Recommendation For A Winnebago Micro Minnie
I recommend going with the 600 pound bar # FA92-01-0699 for this application, since you mentioned the tongue weight is only 390 pounds. These bars will give you plenty of capacity without running the risk of being overloaded. You could also use the 800 pound bars # FA92-02-0899 for this application if you wanted too, but it isn't really necessary since the tongue weight of the new trailer is so light.

Troubleshooting Severe Sway When Towing A 6K Camper With A 2024 Ram 3500
Hey John, If you're experiencing uncontrollable sway at 50mph towing a 6k trailer with a 2024 Ram 3500 you likely have a much different issue than you're thinking. I would first check the wheels to see if they're straight inline and that there isn't some decent camber going on. If you find they're not straight then you likely have a bent axle and this would explain the extreme sway. From there I would fully load the trailer like you're going to camp and then measure the tongue weight....

Replacement 800 Pound Spring Bars for a Fastway Weight Distribution System
For a single 800 pound Fastway weight distribution spring bar you will need # FA94-02-0899. This is for round bar systems. If you have a trunnion bar system then the 800 pound bar is # FA92-02-0899. If you were to use the 1,000 pound capacity bars it could be done but it really depends on the tongue weight of the trailer. If the tongue weight was 750 pounds for example then the 1,000 pound spring bars would actually be better than the 800 pound bars.

800 Pound Spring Bars for a Fastway E2 Weight Distribution System
If your tongue weight is 667 pounds then I recommend the 800 pound spring bars, # FA94-02-0899 for a single bar on an E2 round bar system or # FA92-02-0899 for a single 800 pound bar for trunnion bar systems. If you were to use 600 pound bars the system would be overloaded and it will not be effective. I have included some helpful links on weight distribution for you.

The easiest solution is to replace the spring bars you have now from your Fastway e2 kit with ones that are higher rated like the part # FA94-02-1099 which will give you the higher tongue weight rating you are wanting and is perfectly compatible with what you have now.
