Roadmaster Tow Bar Base Plate - 711-4

  • Roadmaster
  • Removable Draw Bars
  • Hitch Pin Attachment
  • Partially Hidden

The crossbar-style hidden brackets attach to your vehicle's frame to provide attachment points for your tow bar. The visible portions of the brackets can be removed when you are not towing.

Features:

  • Hidden bracket design - drawbars are easily removable via 2 pins
    • Improved aesthetics compared with standard brackets
  • Computer-cut, all-steel construction provides exceptional strength
  • Black powder coat finish is durable and corrosion resistant
  • Simple installation - no welding required
    • Custom base plates ensure a perfect fit for your vehicle
  • Compatible with Roadmaster tow bars with use of quick-disconnect crossbar (910021-00 - sold separately)
  • Instructions and mounting hardware included
  • Made in the USA
  • Limited Lifetime Warranty

The square drawbars, or front arms, on the crossbar-style base plate kit are simple to mount and remove, easily securing with hitch pins. Once the drawbars have been removed, the remaining brackets are virtually invisible. On most automobiles, the brackets are mounted within the grille, where they remain not only unseen, but protected from scrapes and scuffs as well.

  • Roadmaster Base Plate Kit and Adapter for 1993 Mazda Miata with Blue Ox Tow Bar
The Roadmaster base plate kit that fits your 1993 Mazda Miata is the part # 711-4 that you referenced but then for an adapter to go from it to a Blue Ox Tow Bar you'd need the # RM-032 which you might have based on what you mentioned. You can compare what you have to the product pictures of this part number or you can email me pictures and I'll take a look.

  • Components Needed To Flat-Tow 1993 Mazda Miata Behind Motorhome
You sure can flat-tow your 1993 Miata behind your motorhome. Since we only offer Roadmaster base plates for your vehicle you have a couple options. I recommend the Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit, part # 711-4. If you decide you want to go with the Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar, part # BX7380, you will need the RoadMaster Base Plate to Blue Ox Tow Bars Adapter, part # RM-033. Then you will need the Roadmaster Tow Bar Quick Disconnect Kit, part # RM-201. If you decide this is too many components...

  • Where Does Base Plate Mount On 1999 Mazda Miata
That is correct, base plates like the Roadmaster # 711-2 and # 711-4 use the front tie down plate mounts as mounting points. The # 711-4 with removable arms will use the front tie down plate mount and stabilizer bar mounts. The # 711-2 uses the front tie down plate mount and frame. I have attached the written instructions below. In addition to the base plates you will also need the following: -Tow Bar: Roadmaster Falcon 2 # RM-520 -Safety Cables: RoadMaster 68" Single Hook, Coiled Safety...
