Installation
This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. You will have to remove the tail light assemblies to access this harness.
Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided fuse.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed in your trunk.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.
With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the T-1 vehicle wiring harness with the four full flat trailer connector. This product fits certain years of the Acura TLX. To ensure that it's a fit for your vehicle you can use the vehicle fit guide, and you can find that at Etrailer.com. Basically, this unit's gonna provide a four-way flat connector at the back of your vehicle, and that's gonna power your trailer's signal lights. If you need to use an adaptor, it is compatible with a five-pole and six-pole, as well as seven-pole adapters. Adapters are sold separately, and it comes with a dust cap for the four way flat connector that way you can cover up the connection points when it's not being used. I like this style of dust cover because it's tethered to the plug housing, so you don't have to worry about misplacing that or losing it. The black box is the included modulite.
This is gonna ensure that your vehicle's wiring matches that of your trailer's. This power module connects directly to the vehicle battery through the wiring to avoid overloading your vehicle's electrical system. It is designed to connect quickly and easily. It comes with detailed installation instructions, so it walks you through that whole process step-by-step. Basically, you'll need to locate your connection points. Those are gonna be behind your vehicle's taillights, so at the rear of your vehicle.
You'll need to locate those, and then you're gonna need to plug in each of the T-connectors. These are custom fit for your vehicle, so they're gonna connect perfectly together and they're gonna snap-lock together for a nice, tight, secure fit. Once you have those plugged in you'll need to make a ground connection. That's your white wire with a ring terminal attached to it. Get that grounded to a nice suitable grounding location with the included grounding screw. Then you will need to mount the converter box, and you can do that using the double-sided adhesive foam tape provided in the kit. Next, you'll need to run the hot lead to the vehicle battery. That's the black wire coming out of the box.
This gets connected to the bundle of black wire with one of the included buck connectors. The other end of the bundle runs to the vehicle battery. It gets another buck connector attached to it and connects to one-half of the fuse holder. The other half of the fuse holder gets a ring terminal attached to it and connects to the positive post of the vehicle battery. It does come with a 15 amp fuse, goes directly into the fuse holder, and it's got the cap that goes over it to keep it safe and protected. Once you have all that done you can secure any excess or slack in your wiring with the included cable ties. Once your install is complete the four-way connectors are gonna be stowed in the trunk of your vehicle.
Plenty of wiring here that way can extend it out the back when you need to use it. Roll it up and tuck it away when you don't need to use it. It is recommended that you use a small amount of dielectric grease on all your electrical connections like the plugs on the vehicle, and the four-pole connector itself. That's gonna help prevent corrosion. It is sold separately, and available at Etrailer.com if you need some. When it comes to the maximum amperage for your stop and turn lights it's gonna be five amps per circuit and for the taillights seven point five amps per circuit. That's gonna do it for today's look at the T-1 vehicle wiring harness with a four-pole flat trailer connector.

The shipping provider had an issue on the end and perhaps I could have follows up sooner but two week was there hod time to see if the package would get delivered . They sent a new package and was delivered ASAP! Much appreciated
Just one issue that is probably not even your problem. When installed on my 2018 Acura TLX the final attachment point hits the factory "tow loop" and forces the receiver part of the hitch to not exit the vehicle parallel to the bottom of the vehicle. When the receiver is installed in the hitch it does not stand up straight. Like a bike rack tips backward.
I like things "lines and squares" !!
It took twice as long to install this as the hitch. Getting the hot wire into the engine from the driver's side was a bear. Support was inadequate. No video or descriptive help. Finally found a video clip online with the needed help.
Great service from an excellent company, whose products are well built and of high quality. I couldn't be happier and I recommend to anyone that's considering buying, because they have a great combination of service, quality products and low prices!
