Yes! In fact it's rather simple. The 2024 Bronco has a lot of conveniences that remove some of the more common steps from other flat tow setups. I could go on and on about the simple steps, but it would be better to show you, so lets take a look:
Line your vehicle up on flat ground, facing the towing vehicle and connect the tow bar to your Bronco
Switch your vehicle into accessory mode by pressing the ignition button without pressing any pedals
Press the 2H button on the drive mode control
Depress the brake pedal (and keep it held for the next few steps) and shift the transmission to N (Neutral)
Using the instrument controls located on your steering wheel, navigate to the settings menu and select "Neutral Tow"
Press and hold the OK button until the confirmation message appears, letting you know the vehicle is now in neutral tow mode.Pro Tip: If you've completed this process successfully, the display in your vehicle should say the words "Neutral Tow Enabled Leave Transmission in Neutral" This indicates that your vehicle is safe to tow with 4 wheels on the ground. If you do not see this message, start the process over from step 1Side note: You may hear noises as your Bronco shifts into its neutral position, this is normal
You can now release the brake pedal and leave the transmission in N (Neutral). It is now safe to turn your vehicle off by pressing the ignition switch without depressing the pedals
Congratulations! Now you're all finished setting up your Ford Bronco to be flat towed. You can now get to your destination safely. But that's only half the trip, removing your vehicle from Neutral Tow mode is as simple as engaging it. Let's take a look at the steps:
With your Bronco still connected to your tow vehicle, switch your vehicle to accessory mode using the same process as above (press the ignition without pressing any pedals)
Depress the brake pedal completely and hold it for roughly seven seconds, then shift your Bronco into P (Park). Continue holding the brake pedal until the display says Neutral Tow Disabled.
Release the brake pedal, and apply your parking brake. It is now safe to detach your Bronco from the towing vehicle.
Release the parking brake and start your engine. You may now shift your vehicle into D (Drive) or R (Reverse), to confirm that the transfer case is out of the Neutral Tow position. Caution: If you have made it this far in the process, and everything looks good but you are unable to shift your Bronco into gear after detaching it, the Ford owner's manual suggests to apply the parking brake and have your vehicle inspected as soon as possible
There you have it, your 2024 Ford Bronco attached, towed, and detached. Hopefully we have helped inspire enough confidence to take your Bronco out on the road, or educated you enough to know if the Bronco isn't for you. No matter which side of the fence you land on, stay safe and Happy Towing!
