Some handles use an 8-point star-style hole instead of a square drive, so confirm the shape before you choose.
Verify the drive shape in the handle—some use an 8-point star, not a square. Look closely at photos and specs to confirm the hole style before you buy. If you need a 1/4 inch square, double-check the measurement and shape on your current handle and the replacement.
Measure from the back of the lock face to the base of the threaded body to get the length. Also measure the diameter of the hole the latch fits into so the body size matches. If the listing shows overall dimensions, compare those to your existing lock before ordering.
