RV Door Parts with Window Parts for easy upgrades
Enjoy privacy, light control, and a clearer view with window parts that refresh worn RV Door Parts. Choose options with tinted glass or integrated shades, and look for kits that include inner and outer frames, glass, shade, and release keys for an easier install. Match your door's thickness and cutout size, and plan for how the shade will work with a screen door.
Plan for shade access with the screen door closed. You may need to be outside of the screen to raise or lower the shade. Some install the shade frame inverted to pull up from the bottom to block low sun while keeping top visibility. Tinted glass can help reduce heat and add privacy while letting you see visitors.
Some shades are stringless and won't have cords to adjust. If yours has cords, access the knots under the bottom panel: slide the two lower levers to one side, lift the sill plate, remove the end caps, then retie each cord about 1/2" up. Move the plastic levers gently to avoid damage; avoid forcing them or using sprays.
Measure your door cutout and thickness. A common window frame size is 15" wide x 24" tall and fits 1-1/2" to 2" thick doors. Don't confuse shade size with frame sizeāan 11-7/8" x 21-1/2" spec can refer to the shade only. If your opening differs slightly, minor filing of the cutout may be needed.
Many kits include inner and outer frames, window glass, a built-in shade, and release keys for the frame clips. The frames snap together, and the keys expand the clips so you can separate the halves for install. Some arrive with no instructions, so locate the clip points first and use the included keys instead of prying.
