Yes, a Flex-a-lite can be set up as a pusher for auxiliary airflow. Verify the fins on the condenser will accept the plastic push nuts and that the fins are pliable enough. Measure to confirm there's enough room for the fan's overall dimensions. If space is tight, mock up the location before fully mounting.
Choose a Flex-a-lite size that fits the radiator core and available depth. Check the clearance from water pump to radiator and confirm the fan can mount without contacting components. Decide puller or pusher based on space; puller behind the radiator is common, while a pusher in front can help when space is limited.
Start with the basics: verify fuse, wiring, and grounds. Check the controller or thermostat status and adjust the pot screw only within its range. If there are no lights on the control module and an override works but normal control doesn't, the controller may be the issue. Inspect connectors for looseness before replacing parts.
Flex-a-lite is better used as an auxiliary in heavy-use or towing setups. Some applications did not stay cool after deleting the mechanical fan, especially with A/C and load. If you tow or see high heat, keep the stock fan/clutch and add the electric as a helper. Check your cooling needs before removing the mechanical fan.
