Wiring to a relay, thermostat, or a manual switch is common, and if you run dual fans, plan for noise and power draw at idle.
Installation is generally straightforward. Plan how to run and hide the wiring for a clean look, and use a relay. Some mounting ties or keepers may not hold well, and install pads can break—have spares or alternate mounts on hand. After mounting, confirm the fan cycles on and off as expected.
Yes—reversing the power and ground leads will reverse the rotation. Some 12 inch fans are intended as pushers and may need a custom shroud to work effectively as pullers. Check the fan's shroud design and openings, and verify clearance before committing to a puller setup.
