Go for a clean, factory look with black slide-out parts that blend in with common trim. To get the right fit, match your wiper or bulb-and-wiper seal by style—glue on, peel-n-stick, press-in, push-on, or slide-on—and check the side profile and length on your rig. If tracks feel tight during install, a small touch of seal lubricant can help the seal slide into place more smoothly.
Yes—rubber can be hard to slide in tracks. Use a small amount of seal lubricant to help it slide; too much can make it hard to grip. Confirm the track orientation matches your original so trim pieces fit; if they don't, you may need to protect exposed screw heads with caulk. After install, check the wiper lays flat and isn't curling away from the slide.
Match the seal type and size to your existing slide-out. Remove a section and check its side profile and mounting style: Glue On, Peel-N-Stick, Press-In, Push-On, or Slide-On. Some seals include a bulb and some do not. Measure the flange thickness if it's a push-on style and compare overall height and width to your original.
Measure the total length where the wiper seals are installed. These are sold per inch on some options, so enter the inches you need. Leave a couple inches more for each slide to get a good seal with slight overhang so you don't see daylight.
Inspect other potential leak points. A leaking slide can come from roof or seam issues even if the new bulb and wiper seals are installed correctly. Resealing the roof and seams has solved leaks when new seals alone didn't. Look over the slide opening, roof edges, and body seams for gaps or failed sealant.
