Hopkins Active Tail Light Converter with Install Kit
Excellent. The only down side for my Lexus RX300 was not having an “easy” way to mount male 4-way next to hitch rather than stowing it beside tire bay. No big deal just a plus.
I received this product the other day and went to work installing it on my 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. This was done outdoors on a sunny 90 plus degree day on [the driveway]. Prior to buying I had read the online instructions and, more importantly, watched an installation video. The video was a huge help and the kit was very easy to install. The snap splice connectors work like a charm. I used extra zip ties I had to secure the power line in place as I routed it down the passenger side of the Jeep. Hook up to the battery terminal was easy. I did not have a circuit tester to check the individual wires to ID their function but since their colors exactly matched the video, I decided to take my chances. It worked out great. Installation of the power wire would be easier on a lift but I don’t have one installed in my driveway so it entailed crawling under the

Tekonsha Powered Tail Light Converter w/ 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector and Install Kit
The wiring harness and trailer hitch from ETrailer work great. No issues whatsoever. It works as it should. FTIW, I have self-installed hitches in the past on other cars and consider myself a savvy shade-tree mechanic. Although the installation of both products didn't look that difficult, and there are a wealth of vids by etrailer, my problem was the jacking and safe under-body access on the Tesla. I just don't have the facilities, and was wary by the weight of the car plus warranty issues. So I opted for a pro intsall job. Given the nature of the beast, and this is no reflection on etrailer, if I were doing it again I'd prob just spring for the pricey Tesla install. Since I live in the sticks, I had to drive pretty far anyhow to find an installer, let alone a good one. The bumper removal etc. for the hitch install isn't difficult, just that pesky wiring and a safe work condition.
Install on 2018 Mercedes Benz CLA250 w/LED tail lights: There were no guides I could find so I'm posting this for other etrailer customers. These are my installation notes and the kit operates correctly. There are other ways to do this, I'm sure. It isn't necessary to remove the tail lights, there is a removable piece in the trunk carpet. I removed that and the plastic trim panel in the middle. The tail lights have 10-pin connectors. On the left there are 8 wires on the right there are 7. My thought is maybe this has something to do with the european style parking lights. After probing I found this: Left Side: Turn/Brake - Yellow with White stripe Running/headlights - Black with Orange stripe There is constant power to the Green with White stripe Right Side: Turn/Brake - Light Blue with Red There is constant power to the Green with White stripe I had to splice additional wire to mount the module where I wanted it. The final connections were: Module Brown to Left Black/Orange Module Yellow to Left Yellow/White Module Green to Right Light Blue/Red Module White to Ground Module Black to Battery Module Red Terminated (unused) The positive electrical connection I made was under the hood, off the fuse box. Terminated to one of the lugs, covered with wire loom, and run into one of the cars wire bunches. The 4-wire hitch output is terminated with a CURT tester (If you put one there, you'll always know where it is when you need to troubleshoot something) This vehicle is completely covered on the bottom and running the wire can be very time consuming if you want it to look tidy.

Adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole Vehicle End Trailer Connector
i had to replace these two items as my dear daughter went down our goat path driveway too fast. they replaced the originals from etrailer from the prior year. shipping is timely and customer service actually helps! i wired from battery to controller to hitch myself, and everything fit.
This product works as expected. There is not too much to the installation, just plug it in properly and mount the ground wire. I did not find an easy way to mount this to my wife's Odyssey, or to the trailer hitch (item# 75270). Luckily, I do prototype design and manufacturing. So I came up with my own solution. I designed and made my own bracket to mount the 7 pole to the trailer hitch. It works like a charm, and looks great!

35 Ft 4-Way Trailer Wiring Harness - Wishbone Style - 42" Ground
Works very well after re-wiring trailer lights with waterproof distribution box.
2 things. 1st@: I think there should be an option to pick tinned wire. 2nd: The ring terminal for the ground needs to be bigger.

Adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole and 4 Pole w/Test Lamps
I recently had a receiver hitch installed on my 89 Silverado and the wiring was merely zip tied to the safety chain connection. Well that didn't sit well with me. I wanted a more permanent wiring connection point. So I purchased your 4 flat to 4 flat and 7 way plug and installed it. So far so good. The installation turned out perfect and it looks good. The test lights are a great thing as well. I couldn't be happier.
Not too difficult to install, but I would recommend using a car lift so you don't have to work from your back (review includes wiring harness and Brake Controller)

20 Ft 4-Way Trailer Wiring Harness - Wishbone Style - 30" Ground
Wiring worked perfect for my project. I replaced the wiring on my 14 foot utility trailer. If I was to do it again I would buy the next length up. I would have liked to have a little extra wiring if I was to ever need it.
Worked perfectly with the trailer lights.

Wesbar 4-Pole Flat Connector w/ Jacketed Cable - Trailer End - 4' Long
I have been very pleased with etrailer orders recently. Everything shows up when expected and products are as expected. Attached are a couple before and after pictures of my recent project to add lights to a cargo rack per my wife's request. Thanks for the professionalism of all at trailer
Heavy duty plug that has a good snug fit and I like the jacketed cord that provides strength and extra protection.

Hopkins 7-Way RV Style Connector with Molded Cable - Trailer End - 8' Long - RV Standard
7 pin connector separated from cable. I was expecting that "Molded Cable" meant that the connector was fused to the cable insulation but instead, the two separated almost immediately after I installed it. It still works fine as the wires are connected securely inside the connector but with the outer covering pulled out like this, I don't think it will last very long.
Çable good but after putting new 7way plug on truck cable wire colors did not match etrailers picture

Pollak 6-Pole, Round Pin, Plastic Trailer Wiring Socket w/ Rubber Boot - Vehicle End
I found what I thought I needed on the website to prepare our car to be flat towed, but wanted to call to verify. After a short phone call, eTrailer saved me about $50 and got me the stuff I actually needed to get the job done! I won’t shop anywhere else!
This part is an exact replacement to the part that failed. The failure was caused by a poor installation which allowed the rubber boot to chaff on the truck frame. As it was an exact replacement installation was straight forward although I modified the mounting bracket to prevent a reoccurrence of the problem.

Pollak HD, 7-Pole Round Pin Connector w/Cable Guard
I bought this as part of a rewriting project for my 77 Airstream Tradewind. What can I say - it works and it was easy to install. I've never made one of these before but after following some instructions online my problems were all fixed and I had lights and brakes. FYI, if you are using this for a 77 Airstream like myself you will need to connect the wires from the tow vehicle to this connector according to color with three exceptions: The yellow wire from the tow vehicle goes to the black connector on this plug. The black wire from the tow vehicle goes to the blue connector on this plug. The blue wire from the tow vehicle goes to the yellow connector on this plug. If the above doesn't make sense to you now (like it didn't to me) it will make perfect sense once you have this item in your hand. One more note about my installation - I had two problems that I was trying to solve with this. The first is that I had an "SH" meaning a short circuit in my brake lines. This same error showed up no matter what tow vehicle or what brake controller was connected. The second problem is that my running lights would not work on my camper, however when you connected my camper to another tow vehicle using my old 7 pin plug the lights did work. Strange, but we verified that the problem was not in my tow vehicle so the only option would be this 7 pin connector was somehow not working correctly. For what it's worth, the running lights would work on a 1999 Suburban and a 1997 Tahoe, but would not work on my 2004 Suburban. Anyways, I figured that I would at least try to use this item to make a new connector before taking it in for service and lo and behold once I got everything hooked up it all worked perfectly (the brakes and all of the lights now work). I couldn't be happier.
We had a truck that had a male side of this particular plug. We also had a trailer that needed to be wired up with the female side. etrailer had the parts we were looking for. Purchase was easy and the part fit nicely. Wiring was simple we just printed the PDF file easily found online. We did have to do some simple trouble shooting as our old connector had a 5 wire system but we figured it out. We've bought other trailer items from etrailer and have always been happy with fast service and fair pricing.

7-Way Molded Trailer Wire Connector - 3' Long
I've had this in use for over a year and they don't build them like they use to. I use this on a gooseneck trailer and the piece of plastic behind the spade connector for the clearance lights and brakes has melted, allowing the spade connector to lose contact with the plug on the pickup. So the lights would cut off in the middle of the night and would have to wiggle the connection till I could fix it. I have an older Hopkins plug and never had this problem. To fix the problem I ended up putting pieces of thin copper wire behind the spade and have done it twice since the plastic melted a 2nd time and once again the trailer clearance lights would quit working. Attached are before and after pictures.
After a year doing its job well.

Pollak Heavy-Duty, 4-Pole, Round Pin Trailer Wiring Socket - Metal - Vehicle End
I've never really liked Flat-4 type connectors. Unless you leave them dangling, they usually require that you crawl under the vehicle to connect them. (...Murphy's Law dictates that this will always be when it's raining or snowing). This Pollak 4-pole round socket, along with a Tow-Ready harness, and matching trailer connector, provides a neat, factory installed look, that's more convenient, and durable. My orders from etrailer arrived quickly, and with great seller communication. A+
Excelent Quality! Parts was a perfect fit for the factory location.

The overall quality of the cable is impressive

Pollak Trailer Connector Adapter - Vehicle End - 7-Pole Round to 7-Way Blade
I received this item in a plastic bag, for a few moments i wondered if it was a knock-off. I had done my home work and was sure that this item would be compatible with the socket on my John Deere 2013 5085M at the time I ordered it, not so. The 'holding ridge' at the plug-in end was not in the right position when fully inserted into the plug on the tractor. I sent multiple pictures to Pollack Technical Support but they were unable to assist me. I finally modified the item myself (something I really hate to do) so that it would fit the plug-in and be 'grasped' by the cover/holder on the tractor side. As I anticipated, the thickness of the plastic was inadequate to make the adaptation 'sweet', so I had to cover the resulting hole with silicone caulk.
This is a great solution for adapting RV blade connector to 6 pole connector. I give it 5 stars. I use this for work purposes, and have found one issue that I DON'T believe to be manufacturer defect. In my industry we use different trucks and trailers daily, if not hourly. Some trailer electric brakes will lock up when adapter is connected. I have found the red wire in the adapter to be the problem. My solution was to splice in a switch so that when the intermittent problem arises I can flip the switch and be on my way.

Hopkins Endurance 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector - Trailer End - Ergonomic Design
I rewired my light bar for my boat trailer with the items I purchased. Before I built the the light bar, every time I used my boat trailer I would waste valuable sailing or fishing time repairing faulty lights. The do not last long when you submerge them in salt water. This light bar now version 3.0 have given little trouble over the years
Great product. Works well when I had a broken connection on my 4 way plug end on my light-up hitch cover I bought from y'all a while back. Always a happy customer. Thanks, George.

Trailer Connector Adapter for Land Rover - 7-Way, Round Pin, European Style to 4-Way Flat
Great build quality, but unfortunately it will not work to legally use a 4-pin trailer being towed by a 7-pin Euro/Land Rover plug. Its simply mapping 4 of the 7 pins to the following pins on the 4-pin side. Left running, Right running, Stop and negative, there is no provision for indicators or dual sided brake lights. It needs diodes (which it does not have) to do this. etrailer just needs to update the description as this is a good basis to make various adapters.
Received product in good order, well packaged, initial some delay, manufacturer was chased by etrailer, and earlier dispatched by manufacturer; delivery trail clear stated, very good. On receiving verified at UHAUL: connect with 1983 Land Rover (Defender) 110 Stationwagon (photo: rear, while on transport): all functioned ok. Apparently some diode(s) included, as the 7 pin has individual stop light which translates as left AND right indicator on flat pin. Emergency flashing (all indicators left and right) tested ok at UHAUL (connecting to trailer). LR has European homologated 3.5 metric Ton (7700 lbs) tow hook and has done some 60,000+ miles towing with current odometer reading 578,000+ km (on/about 360k miles)

Great product no issues at all. Product as described & fit properly.
Pretty straight forward. I used it to switch my European trailer's connection to be able to connect to my Wrangler's 4-pin trailer hookup. No issues. works great.

Hopkins Endurance Quick-Install 7-Way Trailer Connector with Universal Pigtail Harness - Vehicle End
Overall, I was very impressed by this connector. I used it as an in-bed connector for my gooseneck trailers. The plug seems to be a quality product, engineered to stand up to some abuse. I like how the mounting bolt heads recess into the connector and also how the bottom of the connector is elongated to help support the weight of the plug and wiring. I think it has a great shot at lasting for a very long time. The hinge is predominately plastic that will not corrode and break like the many I've had in the past.
Great Product quick and easy install.

Hopkins Heavy-Duty Trailer Coiled Wire Adapter for 7-Way to 4-Wire Flat
Works, exact fit, high quality, coils tight so max of about 3.5’ perfect! Heavy duty wiring, great waterproof connections.
Needed a longer connector for my vehicles. Both have 7 way plugs, but I use a trailer with a 4 flat plug. The coiled adapter works great for both of the vehicles. Very good product if you need some extra length and the fact that it has the coils makes for a better appearance.
