I used this adapter to connect 4-way auxiliary tail lamps for a hitch-mounted bike carrier to a 6-way winnebago connector. It works fine for marker lights and turn signals but not for brake lights. I think there is a winnebago-specific wiring pattern that this adapter does not cover.

The wiring harness continues to work as I described. It has been durable and weather resistant. I have had it in continuous service for the past year and over 30,000 miles.Overall, it works well and I am pleased.

You guys are awesome. When I bought my motor home the dealer didn't have anything to adapt to my simple 4 wire setup and after working up a cost to cob a bunch of things together to get lights working on my toad I finally told them no thanks and drove home without lights(it was a daylight run)...got on your site and found exactly what I needed. I will refer anyone who asks to your site. Best regards, TJ

  • Availability of a 6-Way Round to 4-Way Flat Adapter
Yes, if your truck has a 6-Way round connector and your trailer has a 4-Way flat connector, you can use the Pollak 6 Pole to 4 Pole Connector Adapter, item # PK12717, to power all of the lighting on the trailer.

  • Recommended 6 Pole to 4 Pole Connector Adapter
I may have a solution for you, however we do not currently have any 4 pin wire harnesses that feature a 6 wire pigtail. If you are needing to convert a 6-Way connector on your vehicle to a 4-Way flat in order to connect with your trailer, I recommend using the Pollak Adapter # PK12717. This adapter will simply plug into the 6-pole, round pin connector on the vehicle to provide a 4-pole flat connector. It will connect the ground, left turn, right turn, stop and tail light circuits. • Why Does a 6-Way to 4-Way Adapter Only have 4 Contacts
An adapter such as # 37325 or # PK12717 will only have the necessary pins required by the 4-Way end. These are the basic lighting functions; left/right turn signals, brake lights, and running lights. And the 4th is the ground (the turn signals and brake lights are combined on the same circuit for each side of the trailer). A trailer that uses a 4-Way flat connector does not have the other functions on a 6-Way. If the connector on your 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee is factory then it is likely...
