How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Yakima Skinny Warrior Rooftop Basket on our 2023 Dodge Durango. Now, the Durango model that I have here comes with the factory roof rails, but this roof rack would work if you have the naked roof as well, adding a roof rack to your vehicle is gonna allow you to increase your cargo area by taking advantage of the negative space on top of your vehicle so you can get those bigger, bulkier items out on the road with you for your journey. So let's take a closer look at our rooftop carrier. Now, from the front of this guy you're gonna see you have a plastic fairing that's gonna allow you to basically cut down your wind resistance, and it helps with noise from going down the road. Now the EXO system is going to be a very customizable platform that has a lot of different attachments to suit your needs. And the configuration that we have here today, it is really just set up for carrying as much cargo as we can, in addition to what we can fit into our Durango. Now in this specific configuration, our box on the bottom is going to have a capacity of 100 pounds, and our basket here up top is going to have a capacity of 80 pounds. Hi, Matt with etrailer. And today we're gonna be talking about the Swagman Expanse Cargo Carrier on the back of a 2022 Dodge Durango. This carrier can support about 400 pounds which is a little bit less than some of our other options. So when I stand up here trying to stand in the center not on the mesh itself, the vehicle kind of goes down a little bit, but not too much. So I think it's gonna perform pretty well with this cargo carrier. As for the mesh, if you put weight down on it directly, you're gonna notice a lot more give than if it was gonna be on the bar itself.

Some of the features of this compact cargo carrier is that it can still hold the 500 pounds, just like most of our other cargo carriers. And, the vehicle's barely going down so it's interacting very nicely with it. So that's a a plus for it. And the back of it is, since it's compact, it's not gonna extend out nearly as far as a lot of other cargo carriers.

Hi Matt here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be talking about our Flint Hills good aluminum cargo carrier on the back of the 2022 Dodge Durango. As for the capabilities of this cargo carrier, it's about a medium sized cargo carrier that can handle about 500 pounds. So if I get in the back of it, I'm about 250 pounds, just under, and the vehicle barely shifts down, so the vehicle handles it very nicely as well. As for putting anything inside the cargo carrier, the walls are pretty short on it, they're pretty shallow, so this would be a great cargo carrier for anything like bags or anything that might kind of spill over just a little bit. As for the dimensions, it's gonna be about 48 inches in an interior of the width, just over 21 inches for the length, and then on the bottom here we have just under 12 inches.

This roof basket can carry about 165 pounds, but keep in mind your own capabilities for your own roof. So your own roof might not be able to carry that much weight. And then also think about the weight of the roof rack as well, 'cause that's gonna count towards your own roof's weight limit. Also the total height we have right now is gonna give you almost an additional 10 inches above your roof. So keep that in mind if you're going anywhere with a low clearance, especially if you're gonna have anything in here as well.

Hi, I'm Matt with etrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the Flint Hill Goods aluminum cargo carrier on the 2022 Dodge Durango. This medium-sized cargo carrier is gonna be able to handle 500 pounds. So that's perfect if you have anything heavy you wanna keep outside your vehicle and not inside the back. If I get inside of it, you can see I'm just under 250 pounds, and that's handling pretty well. Now, if we look at the dimensions of it, the width is gonna be about 47 1/4 inches, and the length is gonna be about 20 1/2 inches, depth just under six inches. As for tie down, tying anything down, now, really, we have a lot of spots that work great for that, you know, like even this aluminum is still gonna be, is still really sturdy.

MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Dodge Durango

Today on our 2015 Dodge Durango, we're doing a test fit of the MaxxTow 48" by 21" Cargo Carrier. That part number is MT70422. It has a weight capacity of 500 pounds and is designed to work with 2" hitches. The first thing we're going to do is take a few measurements here. Our ground clearance is first. We have 11" and 1/2".

Test Fit: 23x47 Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches on a 2015 Dodge Durango

Today on our 2015 Dodge Durango we're doing a test fit of the car pod walled cargo carrier. It's 23 by 47 with a 450 pound weight capacity and that part number is M2205. Now, the first thing we're going to do with it on our vehicle is take a few measurements. Our ground clearance here is going to be about 17 1/2 inches. That's because we've got that nice raised shank in the back, which is going to lift that even higher than the hitch. Overall to our vehicle we're adding abut 34 inches. Our closest point is going to be on our raised shank here, we've got about 5 inches there. Now, with our vehicle we do have a single passenger side exhaust, it does come just about straight out and level with that carrier, but we have about 14 1/2 inches between the two.

Does it Fit? Testing the 20x59 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches on a 2015 Dodge Durango

Today on our 2015 Dodge Durango we are test fitting our Curt 20 x 60 Collapsing Cargo Carrier with a weight limit of 500 pounds. As you can see here, it does fit the 2 inch hitch back there. At first we are going to start with some measurements. I've got a ground clearance of about 13 3/4 and from the back of the vehicle overall, we've got about 34 inches and from the rear of the vehicle to the first point it might hit, is about 13 inches. Now as you can see down here, this is just a pin and clip to hold in the cargo carrier, so it will allow a little bit of rattle. That's pretty normal with any cargo carrier that is just a pin and clip.

Test Fit: 20 x 59 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches on a 2015 Dodge Durango

Today on our 2015 Dodge Durango, we are test fitting our Curt 20 by 60 cargo carrier with a weight limit of 500 pounds, part number C18150. This cargo carrier is designed to fit a 2-inch hitch. Now, if we do some measurements real fast, down here is our ground clearance, from the ground to the lowest point here, we've got about 5 1/4 inches there. Our overall length added to the vehicle is about 28 1/4 inches. Down here, our closest point that might hit the vehicle is about 5 inches away. While we're down here, you can see that this is a pin and clip connected cargo carrier which will allow for a little bit of shake in the cargo carrier which is pretty normal for anything that has just a pin and clip.

Is the 23x59 Stromberg Carlson Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches Compatible with the 2015 Dodge Durango?

Today on our 2015 Dodge Durango we're doing a test fit on the Stromberg Carlson 23 x 60 Cargo Carrier. This has been designed to carry up to 500 pounds. It's for use on 2" hitches. The part number on it is CC-100. As you can see the base of our carrier here it's going to have a nice, large open hole, expanded steel type floor. It allows any of the water, dirt and debris to fall down and out so it's not sitting on top of our carrier. We've also got a nice raised edge that's going to go all the way around the outside.

Lets Go Aero Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Dodge Durango

Today on the 2015 Dodge Durango, we're testing the Lets Go Aero Gear Cage, 32 by 48 cargo carrier with a weight capacity of 300 pounds, part number HCR222. Now, let's do some measurements. First, we're going to do a ground clearance. There's this little part down here we're going to measure to because it's the closest to the ground. We have it at about 12 inches. Our overall length is going to be about 41 1/2 inches.

Detail K2 20x60 Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Dodge Durango

Today on our 2015 Dodge Durango, we're test fitting the Detail K2 Folding Hitch Cargo Carrier. This measures 20 inches by 60 inches. It offers a 500 pound weight capacity and they designed it for use with 2 inch hitches. Part number on it is K2HCC602. As you can see, we've got an expanded steel style floor here that allows that dirt and debris and stuff to fall through and not build up on top of our carrier. We're also going to have a nice raised edge that comes all the way around here. It's going to give us front to back, side to side support of our load.
