Hey, everyone. I'm Collin here at etrailer. Today we have a 2016 Jeep Cherokee. We're going to be test fitting the Yakima JetStream Roof Rack System. Now, this roof rack system mounts to the raised side rails of your Cherokee. It allows you to get at your favorite accessories, whether you got a bike rack, a kayak carrier, or even a roof box up on your roof and mounted to it.Now, this system is made up of a couple different components.



Yakima Roof Rack Review - 2016 Jeep Cherokee Y00147

Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Jeep Cherokee, we'll be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Yakima Roof Rack System. This is going to consist of the Yakima Jet Stream Crossbars, part number: Y00425, and the Timberline Towers, part number: Y00147. Now these crossbars are also available in silver with part number: Y00428.The Yakima Roof Rack System is a great solution for carrying your vehicle accessories on your roof, whether those are bike racks, ski and snowboard carriers, kayak carriers or cargo baskets. The Aerodynamic shape of our bar, as well as the weatherstrip on the inside, are going to help to reduce wind, noise, and drag.If we remove our end cap on our crossbar, on the inside we can see our weatherstrip. This can easily be pushed down, and we can add in channel-mounted accessories. Unlike with other roof racks, we will have to remove that weatherstrip.



Yakima Roof Rack Review - 2016 Jeep Cherokee Y00147

Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Jeep Cherokee we're going to be test fitting the Yakima core bar roof rack system consisting of part numbers Y00421. These are the Yakima core bar cross bars, fifty inches long. We'll also be using part number Y00147. These are the timberline towers for the Yakima cross bars, particularly for the factory raised side rails.The Yakima core bar roof rack system is great for carrying a wide variety of accessories on your roof while maintaining the strength of the square or round bars. You can carry bike racks, cargo baskets, or cargo boxes. It combines the strength with the Yakima round bar, but it also has the aerodynamic shape, so it won't cause the noise that you would get with those round bars.



Rhino-Rack Vortex StealthBar Roof Rack Installation - 2016 Jeep Cherokee

Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Jeep Cherokee, we're gonna be installing the Rhino-Rack vortex stealth bar roof rack system, part number JA7972. This is a kit with two bars. The Rhino-Rack stealth bar roof rack system is great for carrying a wide variety of accessories on your roof while freeing up space inside your Jeep Cherokee. You can carry items such as cargo boxes, cargo baskets, or ski and snowboard carriers. Aesthetically, this is a very nice-looking roof rack. It has a factory style look to it once it's installed and it sits very low profile on your vehicle, so issues such as height when you have your items on top of your roof isn't as much of an issue when you're pulling back into your garage.The bars themselves are elliptical shaped, so that's gonna cut down wind noise and drag as you drive as well, although there may be some noise while you drive.

Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Jeep Cherokee, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima RoundBar Roof Rack System consisting of part numbers Y00408. These are the round crossbars 48" long. We'll also be using part number Y03536, which is the RoundBar SL Adapter for the Yakima Bars, and finally part number Y00147. These are the TimberLine Towers for the Yakima Crossbars, particularly for the factory raised side rails.The Yakima RoundBar Roof Rack System is an economical choice for your Jeep Cherokee, has a strong sturdy surface with the bars where you can set your bike racks, your cargo baskets, or your cargo boxes onto. This is a very simple roof rack system to install. The towers here simply wrap around your existing factory raised side rails providing padding where it will make contact so it won't scratch them up or anything like that, and they tighten down and they're ready to go.



Malone AirFlow2 Universal Roof Rack Installation - 2016 Jeep Cherokee

Today we'll be taking a look at the best roof-racks available for our 2016 Jeep Cherokee. The type of Jeep Cherokee we're taking about today has the factory raised side rails so the roof-racks gonna sit on top like so and either wrap around or grip around the bars like you see here. Firs we have our two Thule AeroBlade Roof-rack System. Down here we have the Rhino Rack Vortex Aero Refract System and finally we have the Thule AeroBlade Edge Refract System. Now each of these racks has its advantages once yo place it on your vehicle. Let's go and take a look at the difference, though, between each system. We'll first start off with the general shape of the bars. Both the Thule AeroBlade edge and the AeroBlade roof-rack system will have the same aerodynamic shaped bars while our Rhino Rack vortex aero ar is more of an elliptical design.



Thule Roof Rack Review - 2016 Jeep Cherokee

Today on our 2016 Jeep Cherokee, we're going to be test fitting the Thule roof rack system, consisting of part numbers TH7501TH7502. These are the Thule aeroblade edge roof racks for factory raised side rails. These are aluminum in color, we also have them in black as part number TH7501BTH7502B. We have the front one installed already. The bars themselves have a nice aerodynamic shape to them, which is going to cut down wind noise and drag while you're driving. It also has a nice factory look to it once it's installed.



Inno Roof Rack Review - 2016 Jeep Cherokee

Today on our 2016 Jeep Cherokee, we're going to be test fitting the NO Roof Rack System, consisting of part numbers INB117. These are the NO square cross bars and part number INFR and these are the NO feet for the square cross bars, particularly for factory raised side rails. We already have our front one installed. These are nice, sturdy bars and once the other set is actually installed, it's going to have the carrying capacity of 220 pounds. Although you'll always want to double check with your vehicles instructions to make sure that it can withstand that weight on the roof. We also have these end caps here with these locks already installed, so once you install this onto your roof, you can lock it into place and it's secure, plus you can use this with other vehicles that have factory raised side rails. Let's go ahead and show you how the rear one goes on.



Inno Roof Rack Review - 2016 Jeep Cherokee INXB100-108

Today on our 2016 Jeep Cherokee we're going to be taking a look at the Inno Aero Crossbar Roof Rack System, comprised of part numbers INXB100 and INXB108, those are going to be the crossbars, and then the Inno Flush Feet, part number INXS100. Now, this is designed for factory raised side rails as you can see, and we have the front one already installed. It has a nice aerodynamic shape, which is going to cut down wind noise and drag. With the 2 bars together, you have a weight capacity of 165 pounds, although you want to double check with your manufacturer's manual to make sure your vehicle can take those weights. Also at the end here we have these lockable end caps, and that's going to ensure security and deter theft and tampering with your rack once you have it installed. Let's go ahead and show you how the rear bar installs, and we already have it partially assembled on our table here. It's very easy, very simple. We have our foot here.



Rhino Rack Roof Rack Review - 2016 Jeep Cherokee

Today on our 2016 Jeep Cherokee we're doing a test fit of the Rhino Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars. The part number for our crossbars that we're using today is RRVA126B-2. Then we're using the SX Series Legs, that part number is RRSX005. We already have our front bar installed on our raised factory rails there. We're going to show you how to put our last foot pack on. Then show you how to actually install a back bar, because it is the same way as our front bar.
