  • Tip for Finding Blue Wire Connection of Tekonsha 7-Way in 2018 Dodge Durango
  • According to the install instructions for the Tekonsha 7-way part # TK22113 that fits your 2018 Dodge Durango the blue wire gets routed through the grommet in the floor on the driver side into the rear cargo area and then routed behind side cargo trim panels and above head liner where you'll locate a white wire with a yellow stripe which it connects to. I also attached a couple pictures that show where you'll find the connection point as well.

  • Troubleshooting Brake Adjustment Wheel that Wont Adjust with Brake Spoon
  • It looks like your adjustment star wheel is fully retracted to the point it might be too tight to adjust with a brake spoon like # W80630. With the hub off see if you can get the star wheel to break free so that it can start to adjust out. Maybe try grabbing the star wheel with a set of channel locks to really get decent leverage on it. You should be able to see the inner threads like in the picture I attached.

  • Where Is Brake Controller Port Located On 2001 Dodge Durango For Installation Of Adapter, # 3020-P
  • If your 2001 Dodge Durango has the factory installed 7-way trailer connector on the rear bumper, the port for the brake controller should be located near the emergency brake pedal. I am sending a video link of a brake controller installation on a 2003 Dodge Dakota and at the 45 second mark it shows the location of the brake controller port under the dash that should help you locate the port on your vehicle. You can check the port with a circuit tester to see if one of the pins supplies...

  • Can E-Track be Driven Over In Trailer
  • E-track like the part # e62VR will easily handle being driven over. It will not crush the track. Since it's a wood floor application I would recommend the Snap Loc Etrack Wood Screws part # SL49FR. I would use a screw in every screw hole.

  • Wiring Brakes On Tandem Axle Trailer
  • Typically trailer wiring is color coded. The brake circuit is usually a blue wire which travels to each brake magnet, where it is attached to one wire from each brake magnet. The other wire from each brake magnet will ground to the trailer frame. I have attached a drawing that shows how the wiring is typically run for brakes on a trailer. I have also attached a link to trailer wiring diagrams that may help.

  • Hidden Trailer Hitch and Trailer Wiring Harness for 2019 Dodge Durango
  • The trailer hitch for your 2019 Dodge Durango which is hidden more than any other is the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # DT38MR. I have added a couple photos of the hitch installed on a 2019 Durango for you which display just how concealed the hitch is. I have added a link to a video install of this hitch on a '19 Durango for you to check out as well. For a wiring harness, the best option is the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118617 because we have found that the manufacturer, Tekonsha, makes...

  • How Often Should You Grease the Curt RockerBall Gooseneck Hitch Ball and With What Type of Grease
  • For the Curt RockerBall Shock Absorbing Gooseneck Hitch Ball # C67DR, you will want to use a high quality molybdenum-based grease. You will want to grease prior to initial use and once every 3 months or 3,000 miles.

  • Installation of Tekonsha Wiring Harness # TK22113 on 2017 Dodge Durango
  • The vehicle connection wire isn't as easy as just saying the green wire that is closest to (blank) is the one you are looking for. Each of the green wires need to be tested to determine the correct wire function using a circuit tester or voltage meter. Once you either connect a brake controller and hit the manual override on the controller (or if you don't have a controller sending 12V power down that pin location), you will be able to put a circuit tester on the green wires of that...

  • Why Does My Vehicle Have Separate Turn and Brake Signal Wires
  • There are two types of lighting circuits for vehicles and trailers which are separate systems and combined systems. A separate system will have a separate wire for the brake and turn signals whereas a combined system will have a single wire for the brake and turn signals. The vehicle's wiring system will need to match the trailer's wiring system but if it does not then you can use a converter box like part # C56196 which will separate out the brake and turn signals or combined them together....

  • Installation of Trailer Wiring Harness on a 2002 Dodge Durango without the Factory Tow Package
  • Since your 2002 Dodge Durango doesn't have the factory tow package the trailer wiring harnesses install by plugging in behind both tail lights. I recommend the Tekonsha, part # 118334 for a quality 4-way connector. I've linked a video showing the install on a 2003 that's the same process as yours. The connectors that plug in under the Durango's bumper are for vehicles equipped with the tow package. If you also need a trailer hitch receier the Draw-Tite, part # 75081, is a confirmed fit.

  • How to Install a 7-Way Trailer Connector and Brake Controller on a 2017 Dodge Durango
  • Yes, although you could use the 4-way part # 118617 in addition to the 4 to 7-way adapter part # ETBC7 I recommend the Tekonsha OEM Vehicle Wiring Harness part # TK22113 which is the better option for you as it is more cost effective and designed specifically for your 2017 Dodge Durango. Unfortunately, you will still need to run wires to install this harness but there is no way around this due to how the vehicle was equipped form the manufacturer. The recommended 7-way harness comes with...

  • Wiring Guide for Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-154
  • Based on my research both your 2002 Bounder motorhome and your 2000 Dodge Durango have combined brake/turn lights. So in this case you will wire the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-154 as shown in the linked wiring diagram.

  • How to Activate Factory Tow Package Wiring on a 2017 Dodge Durango
  • To activate the factory tow package wiring on your 2017 Dodge Durango you will most likely have to take the vehicle to the dealer and they can make it fully functional. Trailer wiring harness # C55515 is designed for models that already have the factory wiring activated. The other option for you is to use wiring harness # 118617 which plugs in line with the vehicle tail light wiring. I have included a link to a video showing an example installation of this harness.

  • Location of Trailer Wiring Conections on a 2005 Dodge Durango Without Factory Hitch
  • If your 2005 Dodge Durango was wired for the factory wiring harness you will be able to use the Multi-Plug T-One Connector Assembly for 7-Way & 4 Pole Trailer Connector, item # 20135, to install a 7-Way and 4-Way connector at the rear of the vehicle. You will find the connector at the rear of the vehicle near the drivers side frame rail above the spare tire. If you do not have the factory installed tow package wiring you will need to use the Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring for the...

  • 7-Way Trailer Wiring for a 2000 Dodge Durango without a Factory Tow Package Connection
  • Since your 2000 Dodge Durango does not have the tow package wiring installed you will need to install a working 4-way connector, # 118334, first and then install a 4-way to 7-way adapter, # 37185. There is not a connection point for the factory replacement connector, # 42145, that you mentioned. If you need to install the 7-Way and need to have functionality for a brake controller and 12 volt power supply for towing you will need additional wiring and circuit breakers. We have an installation...

  • How to Install Prodigy P3 on a 2015 Dodge Durango Without Tow Package
  • That is a bit confusing as to why Dodge would have the plug installed on your 2015 Durango for the Adapter # TK93VR if your model didn't come with the tow package. Since it didn't come with the tow package you need to hardwire everything. Basically just plug the Universal Wiring Kit # ETBC7 into your Curt T-Connector 56198 (replaced by part # C56336) and then route the wiring to your battery and cab for your Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 brake controller. Unless Dodge has already run the...

  • Mounting Method for Stromberg Carlson Extend-A-Shower RV Shower Curtain Rod EXT-3542S
  • The Stromberg Carlson Extend-A-Shower RV Shower Curtain Rod # EXT-3542S weighs under 3-lbs and even with the small additional weight of the shower curtain itself should be fine for installation in your shower even if a wall stud or other structural member is not available at the mounting point. It would obviously be better to have such a mounting point to install just about anything on an RV but the included 2-inch stainless steel mounting screws will work for most applications. I would...

  • Is It Required to Run Power Wire for Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness on 2019 Dodge Durango
  • It is required to run a power wire from the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56336 to the battery on a 2019 Dodge Durango. The power wire is actually what provides power to the lights on the trailer. The tee connectors simply obtain the signal. The vehicle's factory tail light circuits are not rated for the extra power needed for trailer tail lights so you'll need to pull power from the battery for these. It's really not that big of a deal to run the power wire, just follow...

  • What Causes Grease Leaking Out of Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors
  • It sounds like you just simply overfilled the Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors like part # BB1980A but not to worry, they do this by design so you didn't damage anything. The built-in pressure relief valve will allow grease to seep out the piston to avoid damaging the grease seal. I'd wipe away the extra grease and then just proceed as normal, there may be still some more that seeps out. Just be careful not to overfill the hubs next time, you'll want a bit of movement when you press on...
