It looks like your adjustment star wheel is fully retracted to the point it might be too tight to adjust with a brake spoon like # W80630. With the hub off see if you can get the star wheel to break free so that it can start to adjust out. Maybe try grabbing the star wheel with a set of channel locks to really get decent leverage on it. It sounds like you just simply overfilled the Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors like part # BB1980A but not to worry, they do this by design so you didn't damage anything. The built-in pressure relief valve will allow grease to seep out the piston to avoid damaging the grease seal. I'd wipe away the extra grease and then just proceed as normal, there may be still some more that seeps out.
