  • Will Tire Step Fit a 37x13.5x18 Tire
  • The tire step # HE4040 can be adjusted to fit any tire size up to a 22 inch rim so that would include your 37s since the 18 in the tire size is the wheel diameter. This step uses a strap to go around the tire for support rather than a rigid bar like most other tire steps which is why it can be used with larger tires.

  • Can Firestone Air Bags be Installed on a 2001 Ford Excursion that Does Not have Jounce Bumpers
  • To install Firestone Ride-Rite air bags # F2251 on a 2001 Ford Excursion 4x4 the jounce bumpers would have to be removed and are not reinstalled. So not having the jounce bumpers actually saves you a step for the installation. I also recommend using a compressor kit, # F2158, so you can add or remove air from the air bags from inside the vehicle. The kit is not required but makes load leveling a lot easier. If the 5 inch block you mentioned means that the frame is 5 inches further away...

  • Will the Curt RockerBall Fit on the C45340 Ball Mount?
  • As long as the Curt RockerBall has a 1 1/4 shank, like the # C29FR, you will have no issue installing it on the # C45340. With you using a ball that moves though, I highly suggest adding on the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch # RM-061. This will keep the # C45340 completely stabile while in use.

  • Front Hitch for 2003 Ford Excursion With Blocker Beam
  • The instructions for both of the front-mounted hitches that are a fit for your 2003 Ford Excursion, the Draw-Tite # 65022 and Curt # 31114 reference the blocker beam, saying you'll need to remove and then reinstall it when putting on either hitch. This means, of course, that these hitches are not direct replacements for the blocker beam but either could still be installed.

  • Timbren Suspension Enhancement For 2001 Ford Excursion
  • The Timbren Suspension Enhancement, part # TFF350SD4, is intended to assist the front suspension you have on your 2001 Ford Excursion. This kit is for 4-wheel vehicles. Suspension enhancement is intended to be used on vehicles with suspension that is in good working condition. It is not intended to be used as a replacement for your suspension. • Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement Springs for 2004 Ford Excursion With F350 Leaf Springs
  • Because the stock ride height has changed, the # TFREXC4 Timbrens for the Excursion would be ineffective for the very reason you mentioned. They'd be too short, and the suspension would compress a great deal before the Timbrens would make contact with the axle beam. However, we can still find a Timbren solution for you. With the wheels on the ground, measure the height distance between the top of the axle and the frame member where the factory bump stop mounts (see diagram). If you can...

  • Do You Have a Recommended Kayak Rack for a 2001 Ford Excursion?
  • I called my contacts at both Yakima and Thule, and they both advised against buying the Yakima Big Stack # Y04041 and the Thule Stacker # TH830 because of the 1/4 inch clearance under your factory crossbars on your 2001 Ford Excursion. The best way to go to guarantee a fit of the kayak carrier clamps to your vehicle is to purchase the Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars - Aluminum - Silver - 53" Long - Qty 2 # TH711400. With the crossbars, you will need: - Rapid Podium Feet for Thule Crossbars...

  • Can the Demco DM15349-52 be Mounted in an Underslung Configuration?
  • I spoke to Demco, and unfortunately the Coupler # DM15349-52 cannot be mounted to the bottom of a frame. They went on to say that there would not be enough surface area for it to handle the weight when welded or bolted on. That being said, the Ram 5-Position Adjustable Channel Bracket # CTA-CB6 is also rated up to 14,000 pounds and can be mounted however you need it to be. This would be a fully welded on part and would most likely need a few gussets added for structural integrity.

  • RoadActive Suspension Options for a 2001 Ford Excursion 4x4
  • The RoadActive Suspension kits, # RAS3621 for 2,000 pound capacity or # RAS3621-HD for 3,000 pound capacity, only fit the rear leaf springs on a 2001 Ford Excursion 4x4. There is no front option. So provided that your Excursion has rear leaf springs you can use either kit regardless of the type of suspension that is on the front. I have linked a video showing the features of the RAS systems.
