hello, looking at Item # EP84030 can you tell me if the monitor actually shows a fuel economy gauge? thanks

Yes, the Edge Insight CS2 Comprehensive Gauge Display part # EP84030 has a feature called "Mileage Coach". The mileage coach allows you to view real time data such as miles per gallon (MPG) and average fuel economy. The display can be customized to show these features in a graph or other gauge display options.
I have attached a screenshot of what the tuner with these fuel economy features selected will look like for you.
