The Dump Door Hinge # PLR1904-Z was specifically designed for heavy duty dump trailers. The mounting bracket is manufactured from 1/4" steel and the 1/2" pin can handle a lot of weight. While the manufacturer does not give a particular weight capacity due to the length of the door having as much of an effect as the weight, you would want to make sure to use a reasonable amount of hinges on your doors. Obviously a 4' tall door would need more than just 2 hinges to properly support the weight... view full answer...
Hello Wanda, thanks for reaching out. The Dump Door Hinge for Dump Trailers # PLR1904-Z can be used on the left or right hand side. It is not side specific. view full answer...
Hello Kurt,
I can definitely help you out with the right clearance and side markers for your 6 x 12 dump trailer.
I attached an image to reference for the lights/reflectors, these are the DOT requirements:
- Rear reflector (#4 on diagram) 2 of the # PE72ER
- Rear-side marker light/reflector (#6a/6b) 2 of the # MCL32RB
- Front Side marker light/reflector (#7a/7b) 2 of the # MCL32AB
You will want to use at least 16 gauge wire and some butt connectors like # DW05744-10. Don't forget... view full answer...
Hello Howlands,
Unfortunately, we do not have dump trailer tarp kits. We do have some nets and tarps but nothing in the specs that you are looking for, closest thing we have is the Gladiator Trailer Cargo Net with Cam Buckle Tie-Downs - 7' 3-1/2" x 13' 3-1/2" # GC39FR and this is listed for a 6' X 12' trailer. view full answer...
The Trailer Valet JXS Trailer Jack # TV64FR would be a good option for your dump trailer. This has a lift capacity of 3,000 lbs and support capacity of 5,000 lbs so even if it is a 12k dump trailer it will be able to handle the tongue weight without a problem. I really like this jack since it comes with the power drill attachment so you don't have to manually crank it if you have a drill handy. As long as your frame is no larger than 4-3/4" tall x 3-3/4" deep this will work for you. view full answer...
Hey Tim. Sorry, but we are not going to have safety cables for your 14,000 lbs dump trailer. The highest capacity ones we have are 14,000 lbs but they are the Demco Straight Safety Cables item # DM9523051. These are for flat towing and are 54" long each. view full answer...
Hello Adam,
Yes, the Dexter Electric Trailer Brakes - 12" - Left/Right Hand Assemblies - 7,000 lbs # 23-180-181 are the Dexter part number 023-180-00.
The # 23-180-181 are the manual adjust brakes, if you wanted to go with the self adjusting so you have one less thing to remember you could go with the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brakes - 12" - Left/Right Hand Assemblies - 7K # 23-464-465.
For the bearings you will want to purchase (4) of the Bearing Kit, 14125A/ 25580 Bearings,... view full answer...
Hi Nick; the Dexter Self-Contained Hydraulic Jack # DX72CR can be bolted onto your dump trailer. The only other thing you will need is a 12V battery to power the jack. This has a lift capacity of 10,000 lbs, a support capacity of 12,000 lbs, and comes with a 3-year warranty. If you would like to save a little money the Self-Contained Hydraulic Jack # e33VV will also work. view full answer...
Hello Rick. We do have wheels that fit the 16 x6.50x8 tires, like the Steel Trailer Wheel # AM20011. This wheel has a 4 on 4 bolt pattern and a 2.5" pilot hole. The 2.5" pilot hole is standard for this size wheel. We also have this wheel in a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern part # AM20016 if that is what you need. view full answer...
Hey Troy, thanks for reaching out!
To replace the 6-bolt channel I recommend installing the Demco 6-Hole Adjustable Channel Bracket # DM66134 which is rated for up to 21K and will need to be welded onto your trailer.
If you're needing additional replacement parts please let me know and I'd be more than happy to recommend something for you! view full answer...
Hey Dave, I would go with the Firestone Ride Rite part # F2582 as your best suspension enhancement option for your 2019 Ford F-150 when towing your dump trailer that has a pretty wide range of loaded weight. This has the most support available and the highest quality bags. view full answer...
Hey Julie. The Stillwell Atlas IV 10K Hydraulic Trailer Jack w/ Connection Kit for Dump Trailers item # ST67VR comes with high pressure hydraulic hoses that have some give to them before they're pressurized.
The fittings included are standard for jack systems like this so they should have no problem connecting directly to your Big Tex trailer.
If you have any additional questions, go ahead and throw them into the comment box below and I'll be happy to answer them. view full answer...
Hey Nick,
With the GVWR of your Horizon HZ5 being over 7K we don't really have a good a-frame jack capable of handling the weight but you could mount a hydraulic jack with a motor like the Self-Contained Hydraulic Jack # e33VV. It has a 12,000lb capacity so it's more than capable of handling the loads you'll put in the trailer and comes with a corded remote control to activate the motor. It has a bolt on design so you'd be able to mount it to the center beam of the frame. view full answer...
Thanks for the riddle! Does your dump trailer have a Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator like item # HS381-8067, that controls hydraulic brakes? What brake controller are you using in your 2025 GMC Denali?
You can add this information and any other questions you have where it says Reply to Jerred H and I'll be happy to answer them. view full answer...
Hey Ryan, thanks for reaching out!
The only drawback you'll really see with a 100 ft extension cord and the Bright Way Switch Mode Battery Charger # BRW77FR is that the charging might not be as effective as you would see with a smaller cord. This is simply from natural voltage drop that occurs over longer distances though so the only way to "fix" it would be to park your trailer closer to an outlet. view full answer...
Hey Michael; for a hitch that fits the 2021 Ford F-650 dump truck we have the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch Receiver # 41990-07. This comes with 7" brackets or we have the 16" bracket version # 41990-16. Based on your email it looks like you're a certified welder so I'll trust you can handle the installation. If you need anything else feel free to reach out in the comments below. view full answer...
Hi Tim; the # PLR1902 can definitely be used on your 6 x 9 dump trailer. They don't have an exact capacity but will be able to handle whatever you're doing. Since they're similar to what you have now that would make them a great fit. The bracket measures 4" long x 2-5/8" wide x 1/4" thick and the pin is 8-3/16" long x 1" diameter. They also have that zerk fitting so they're easy to grease for smooth operation. view full answer...
Hi John; the Self-Contained Hydraulic Jack # e33VV would be a great option for your Maxx-D DTX 16k dump trailer. Check out the picture below where another customer installed this on their trailer. It can be bolted or welded on and has a 12,000 lb capacity which can definitely handle your trailer.
This will be a lot easier to use when compared to the hand crank square jack that comes with those trailers. Take a look at the picture below and you will see where another customer installed... view full answer...

To replace the axles on your 2007 Holmes Enterprises dump trailer you'll need to let me know what the weight capacity is for your axles as well as their hub face and spring center measurements (see attached).
I don't have specs on your trailer but with the info I requested above I'll be able to help you see if we have a fit from the linked selection. view full answer...
