In regards to battery isolators, they should be rated at or close to the changing amperage rating of your alternator. Since your roof extends up you'll want to go with a wall mount awning like the Thule HideAway Awning # TH490011 to avoid any interference. This will come with carriage bolts and brackets to secure it to the wall of the vehicle. I like where you were going with mounting the Thule SnowPack # TH7326B on the Thule Elite Van XT # TH302043. I went to the warehouse and verified that the T-Bolts that come with the SnowPack will indeed fit in the tracks that are used for the Elite Van XT. You might be able to mount the SnowPack on the vertical bars of the rack using the strap system but I'd be afraid that your skis/boards might be hanging out further than your van.

The Yakima BackSwing # Y02483 is 41 inches from hitch pin hole to the furthest point of the receiver tube when open. It is 31-1/2 inches from the hitch pin hole straight out to the inside edge of the receiver tube. It is 22-3/4 inches from inside edge to inside edge. You will not need an extension. I checked the four hitch receiver options we have for your 2021 Ram ProMaster 2500. The RockyMounts BackStage Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount, part # RKY10002, measures 7" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the rack when in the folded up position. Since the inner tray for the Thule Elite Van XT 2 Bike Rack # TH302013 is only about 10" away from the vehicle and your bike handlebar is going to be sticking out 13" we need to look at a different solution so your bike won't be making contact with the vehicle.
