For the Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16541, Curt does recommend that black graphite grease be used for the jaw before each individual use and every 1,000 miles thereafter. Black graphite grease can usually be obtained at a local auto parts or hardware store and will probably just be labeled as "graphite grease". If you do not already have a manual grease gun, you can use # L30200.
You can use the grease fitting that is centered in the cast base plate to grease the lower bearing... view full answer...
When installing the pivot arms on your B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch for Ram Towing Prep Package - Dual Jaw - 25,000lbs Item # BWRVK3600 you'll want to ensure that you have 6" of clearance between the bed rails and the nose of your 5th wheel and 16"-24" between the bumper of your truck and the body of your camper.
To determine the height you'll measure the height from the ground to the floor of your truck bed and subtract it from the height from the ground to the king pin plate while... view full answer...
Yes, adjusting the air spring bolts towards the camper will help with heavier loads. You'll also need to loosen the inner bolts we talked about before (pictured below) when adjusting the top ones. The top and lower bolts will need to be torqued to the same specification which can be found on page 14 of the manual along with the diagram that I've attached below. view full answer...
On the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch for Ram Towing Prep Package - Dual Jaw - 25,000 lbs # BWRVK3600, the moving components of the locking jaws need to be lubed but the pin does not need lube. These jaws are the only part of the hitch that requires grease for maintenance other than the puck locks where the mechanism needs to turn. I recommend some spray white lithium grease as needed to keep the jaw and springs working correctly as well as those locking feet moving freely. Not much... view full answer...
Yes, there is a way to install an aftermarket brake controller on your 2011 Ram 3500 that has an integrated controller in it already.
To install an aftermarket brake control you will have to disconnect the ITBM. This will turn on a warning lamp on the instrument cluster. In order to disconnect the ITBM and not get the warning lamp, your local Dodge dealer will have to reconfigure the TIPM (Totally Integrated Power Module), of the truck. Once the TIPM has been reconfigured, and the ITBM... view full answer...
When adjusting the height of a pin box such as # LC1191191 it is important to support the pin box when removing the bolts. I recommend 2 or 3 buddies to give you a hand and make sure no one is beneath the pin box while raising or lowering it.
With the pin box supported unbolt it, raise or lower it as needed, and then put the bolts back in and tighten them down. According to Lippert use the following torque specs:
Torque 1/2” bolts a minimum of 110 ft-lb.
Torque 5/8” bolts a minimum of... view full answer...
Since you're using a 30amp pedestal the Hughes Autoformer Voltage Booster with Surge Protection - 50 Amp # HU57FR isn't going to boost that power to 50amp. The booster is meant to give you steady service so that you don't experience a voltage drop. For example if it's the middle of August and everyone at the campground has their AC units kick on at the same time it could pull too much from the campground and you and others would experience a voltage drop and surge which could potentially... view full answer...
You can pretty easily separate the camera from the taillight on the Furrion Vision S Side Camera w/ Marker Light Bracket # FCE48TASL that you referenced. I attached a picture of what that looks like. There isn't a cover though for this situation. view full answer...
The Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger part # 331-BCDC1250D needs to be installed on the trailer, next to the service/auxiliary batteries. That said, this now means you must run a wire from the Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger to the start battery in your vehicle. The correct size wire to use will vary based on total length as you mentioned. I recommend you go pretty large so you don't have to worry about issues with length or voltage drop. We actually have a kit that will work... view full answer...
The easiest option would be the Convert a Ball adapter part # CAB-C5G which can either bolt or weld to the pin box on your trailer and give you a gooseneck coupler. I attached an install video for this adapter for you to check out as well. view full answer...
Thanks for the purchase of the Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for Ram Towing Prep Package # RP30918, and the pivot assemblies do not need to be greased before your first trip. What you can do is grease them before the start of each season, and you'll be set.
To do so you can use LubriMatic Multi-Purpose Lithium Grease # L11315 with LubriMatic Professional Pistol Grease Gun # L30416 and attach a grease needle to it, which is available at local automotive stores.

I reached out to my contact at B&W regarding the issue you're having with the safety pin on your Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch # BWGNRK1314 with the Companion Slider # BWRVK3400 mounted. He said it sounds like the draw-down bolt on the slider base might just not be loosened up all the way.
In order to remove the safety pin on the Turnoverball, the draw-down bolt on the Companion first needs to be loosened or the pin will not disengage. I have attached an image that points out the draw-down... view full answer...
In order to adjust the hitch head height of the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # BWRVK3670 you will need to remove the pivot arms and then reinstalled them using either the top, middle, or bottom set of bolt holes. I have attached a portion of the install instructions that go over this process for you.

Technically, yes. The EcoHitch Hidden Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7900 is rated for 700 pounds vertical load. So, as long as the combined weight of your two motorcycles and carrier do not exceed that, and your driving visibility and/or truck lights aren't blocked, it will work.
I recommend double checking the capacity for the front axle on your 2017 Ram 3500 to make sure you're not overloading it. This information can be found on a label in the driver's side door jamb. view full answer...

In order to adjust the height of the Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box part # GY58GR you'll need to do so at the connection to the trailer or the wings. That's the only way to adjust the height of a pin box. The design is made to accommodate all different types of trailers and tow vehicles.
