There won't be any problems towing your 2016 Mini Clubman S on a tow dolly, even with its low ground clearance at the rear. The vehicle's rear axle and wheels are very far back, so it isn't going to tilt downwards enough to cause issues over flat pavement, though over speed bumps, if it is raised up enough, it could of course hit the ground, and unfortunately there really isn't any way to overcome that type of obstacle.

I do not see any 12" 5 on 5-1/2 that we carry so I imagine they are either extinct or limited selection. The parts you mentioned, the backing plate # DM52415 , hub and drums # AKHD-555-35EZK, and brakes AKEBRK-35-SA in those quantities look like just what you need in order to keep the wheels and tires.

Hey Surya, the recommended taillight wiring kit for flat towing your 2008 Mini Clubman S would be the Roadmaster Bulb and Socket kit part # RM-155 which will install bulbs into the housings of the taillights so that your tow vehicle can control the lighting.

I spoke with Curt about the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11524 for your 2017 Mini Clubman S and they informed me that the receiver tube sits right up underneath the bumper. The distance from the bottom of the bumper to the bottom of the receiver tube is 2". That said, I don't have any distances from the ground because this can vary by trim level and how much of a load is in the vehicle.

The device that you are seeing is a sensor of some kind. It should not be in the way since the hole is supposed to go basically through the middle of where the license plate would be. However on yours it does appear that it may be in the way. It looks as though the sensor is supposed to be higher or lower than it is in the picture. There may be a way to move the sensor enough to to drill the hole.

Hey Ted. The only bike racks that fit a 2017 Mini CooperS Clubman are hitch and roof mounted. The Saris Bones 2 item # SA805BL you were looking at does not fit your vehicle and there are no other comparable options that install this way.
The easiest way to transport a pair of bike's with a 2017 Mini CooperS Clubman is to install the Curt Hitch item # C11524. This class I hitch is custom fit and bolts to your car with included hardware. Please note it does not fit John Cooper Works models.

I checked with our vendors and since your 2009 Mini Cooper Clubman doesn't have roof rails, the only option I have to add a roof rack is with the SeaSucker Monkey Bars Roof Rack item # 298-SX6000B. Thule, Yakima, Rhino-Rack, and Malone only have options to add crossbars to roof rails not rain gutters.

I checked with our vendors and if you have the base model 2014 Mini Cooper convertible that is not an S Series or John Cooper Works, you'll need the EcoHitch item # 306-X7290. This hitch has two vertical mounting holes on each side that attaches behind your rear bumper.

The John Cooper Works (JCW) edition of the 2009 Mini Clubman came with a turbocharged I4 engine. The turbocharged engine also utilizes an intercooler which brings down air intake temperatures. The placement of the intercooler is the reason the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit part # BX1307 will not work for you as they both occupy the same space. I took a look at the online owner's manual for the 2013 Mini Clubman and it does state that the manual transmission model can be flat towed with all 4 wheels on the ground. I do recommend verifying this information in your copy of the owner's manual, as it's possible you have a different model.
