On a 2014 GMC Yukon there is no place to plug in a controller but the vehicle does have a tow package wire bundle up under the dash, to the left of the steering column, held together with a white tag. I have linked a video on a 2013 Yukon XL that will be the same as your 2014.
I have also linked a help article that will help. There may be some under the hood connections that need to be made as well and the article will help with that. view full answer...
Hey Jordy. As of 07/24/2025 there is not a baseplate for a 2026 GMC Yukon Denali diesel. I checked with both Roadmaster and Blue Ox and neither one of them had an option for a 2025 either. I would have extremely low expectations one is going to be coming for the 2026 model year.
The Blue Ox Base Plate Kit item # BLU96ER only fits the AT4 models because it replaces the tow hooks.
The Blue Ox Base Plate Kit item # BLU97ER you referenced, does not fit the 2025 or 2026 GMC Yukon. Just the... view full answer...
Hello Dustin, thanks for reaching out. We actually carry conversion kits that are made specifically for this purpose. For your boat trailer with 6K Dexter axles, you can use the Hydrastar Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator Kit for Disc Brakes # HBA16-252-82 which will come with everything you need minus the disc brake kit itself.
For a disc brake kit I recommend the DeeMaxx Disc Brakes # DE58YR. This kit comes with stainless calipers and the rotors use a rust-resistant Maxx coat which is... view full answer...

Hey Dick, thanks for reaching out. The Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack # HLY87RR should work for a recumbent trike. That rack is designed for recumbent trikes, and it does have adjustable wheel hoops plus an adapter specifically meant to help with smaller front wheels.
Where you can run into issues is exactly what you’re thinking, how low the frame sits between those wheels. The trays themselves sit up off the rack a bit, and if your trike has a really low cross member or seat... view full answer...
The Rola Sport REX Series Roof Rack 59685 is a great roof rack but I have a different recommendation for you. The highest weight capacity roof rack that we have is from Rhino-Rack with a 220 lb weight capacity. Typically vehicles do not have roof weight ratings this high so you probably wouldn't be able to max it out anyways.
I recommend going with the Thule AeroBlade Edge, parts # TH7604B-TH7604B and # THKIT4041 for black or parts # TH7604-TH7604 and # THKIT4041 for silver, for a few... view full answer...
Hey Darin. You are correct, the Trailer Valet RVR9 Remote-Controlled Trailer Dolly item # TVRVR9 does not have a 7-way connector on it.
What specific brake actuator do you have on your trailer? Can you pull forward without locking up the brakes? It sounds like you need a manual lockout or a Reverse Lockout Solenoid like item # DM11993. view full answer...
Hey Brian, thanks for reaching out. I can definitely recommend some parts, but we will be cutting it very close on the clearance between your roof and the garage. The roof rack itself will clear fine, but the ski carrier is the part that will be cutting it close. Sounds like you have about 7" to work with total.
For starters, the lowest profile roof rack for your 2025 GMC Yukon Denali is the following:
- Thule WingBar Edge Roof Rack for Flush Rails - Aluminum - Black - Qty 2 # TH47WG

Hey Charles, thanks for reaching out!
My favorite roof rack storage rack is the 55" x 55" Inno Roof Deck Platform Rack # INA520 which is a simple platform, but some side rails can be added with the Rail Kit # IN57FR.
This rack is super easy to install because of the memory clamps, and it's made of aluminum so it's easy to move around and won't rust over time. I had the opportunity to install this on a Tacoma a few years ago so I'm adding that video for you to see my thoughts on it back... view full answer...
Hey Rob, yes the thermostat that comes with the Furrion Chill Cube part # FR69TD that you referenced will work great to control your furnace in follow me mode as well. Follow me mode is the mode that allows the thermostat sensor to be the remote control. How did you like the Duotherm? view full answer...
Hey Bruce, do you have the brake controller install harness part # C51525 to install the Spectrum part # C36QV on your 2023 GMC Yukon XL? I attached an install video that shows where to find the correct place to plug the connector in. Right at the 57 second mark you'll see where to find it. You might also need to scroll down a bit to find the video link. view full answer...
When someone is experiencing out of control or hyper flashing turn signals, a few things come to mind.
First would be, does the trailer have LED lights? If so, installing load resistors, # DI34ZR, on the turn signal circuits should solve the problem. LED lights only draw a fraction of the power that an incandescent light would so vehicles with a bulb-out sensor are tricked by this and think that a bulb has burned out which in turn causes the rapid blinking. I have included a diagram showing... view full answer...
Hey Ronald, thanks for reaching out!
Adding a braking system to a trailer can be a bit overwhelming, but I'm more than happy to help you out!
For a brake controller I really like the Tekonsha Primus IQ # TK29HR because it's a basic product but also reliable and backed by a limited lifetime warranty. A lot of the brake controllers in this price-range are typically either unreliable or they only have a short 2-Year or 5-Year warranty time period.
To add brakes to your trailer I'll need... view full answer...
No, they do not Jake. The K-Source Snap & Zap Custom Towing Mirrors item # KS49NQ are specially designed to not block the cameras, puddle lamps, or turn signals on your 2021 GMC Yukon. These mirrors have padded clamps that slide over and securely attach to your existing mirrors.
Please note that these mirrors do not fit extendable or telescoping factory mirrors.

In order to mount the Optronics Backup Light, # BUL10CB, on your Ranger Trail Boat Trailer, I recommend using the Rubber Grommet, # a70gb, and Trailer Light Mounting Bracket, # BK70BB.
A wiring harness, part # A49PB for a right angle plug and part # A45CB for a straight plug, will also be needed for the Optronics Backup Light, # BUL10CB.
I have included a few short videos for you to check out. view full answer...
Hi Tony,
Roof rack manufacturers typically only test up to 165lbs for their crossbars unless it's a heavy-duty style crossbar. The bars themselves have a capacity but the roof of the Yukon is also going to have a capacity that you'll need to stay under as well so you'll want to first verify the capacity of the roof in your Yukon's owner's manual.
Since you're wanting to do a rooftop tent you'll need to either have flush-mounted rails with fixed mounting points or raised rails that run... view full answer...
Hey Tom, yes the Curt Rebellion XD ball mount part # C45949-2516 will do a great job when towing a 5,000 lb boat trailer and you will feel a difference. While this has a 1,500 lb tongue weight capacity your tongue weight of between 500 and 750 lb would still be enough to activate the cushioning of this kit. Do you have an anti-rattle device on your current ball mount? view full answer...
Hey David, we do not have any Inno roof racks that fit your 2026 GMC Yukon at this time so the only solution we can help with would be an all new roof rack like the Thule Wingbar part # TH94CG which will give you the nicest and most aerodynamic roof rack available for your Yukon. What are you planning on carrying on your roof? view full answer...
Hey Rob, we have confirmed with Derale that the transmission cooler part # D13504 does fit your 2015 GMC Yukon. You will also want the hose fitting adapter part # D13035 to make the install a bit easier as well.

Hi Kevin,
You're just needing a weight distribution hitch with a larger drop shank. To pick out the right one we'll first need to know the tongue of the trailer while it's fully loaded. You can do this with a tongue weight scale # BTBRV44FR or you can measure using a highway weigh station.
Next you'll need to measure to see what size drop shank you need. To do this you'll measure down to the ground from the top of the inside of the trailer hitch receiver tube. On the trailer you'll... view full answer...
