There isn't a wiring harness to plug a brake controller directly into your 2011 Dodge Nitro so it will have to be hardwired in.
I recommend installation kit # 5506. On the brake controller the black wire is 12 volt power and connects to the positive battery terminal via the included circuit breaker.
