Hi everyone, Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this Blue Ox 6-Diode Tow Bar Wiring Kit for towed vehicles with progressive or animated taillights. Now this kit, again is for animated taillights and it's used in conjunction with other parts and other systems that you would need to flat tow a vehicle behind an RV or a camper. So again, this is just one of many parts that you'll need to make that complete setup and you can find more information about that complete setup on our website. Now this particular one allows you to bypass that battery during the flat tow. That way when you get to where you're going, you're not gonna have a dead battery whenever you need to take off and use the the vehicle that's been towed behind the RV for that trip.
The lead can be wired in at the six-way receiver to the plug from your motor home or tow rig, and it can also be run off of a lead from a battery charge line kit as well. You're gonna get the six amp diodes here, 26 feet of wiring with wire loom, along with the other connections here that branch off from it, all the connectors you need. The ring terminal, the butt connector, and for ground and everything there. So once again, folks, this is for vehicles that have that progressive or animated lights that require the battery to be disconnected for flat towing, and you can find that information in your owner's manual.
