When the rear end starts to sag under a heavy trailer or full bed, the LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate air springs step in with up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity. By pairing your existing suspension with these heavy-duty air springs, you keep weight distributed across all four wheels and your ride level from front to back. That means better steering response, braking, and headlight aim even when you’re towing or hauling serious weight.
Rough roads don’t have to beat you up. Each air spring has a closed-cell urethane jounce spring inside that works as a built-in overload spring. When air pressure isn’t enough to support the load, the jounce springs engage progressively—the more weight you add, the stiffer they become. They absorb bumps and shocks to reduce sway and bottoming out, giving you a more stable and comfortable ride.

Not every trip is the same, so your suspension shouldn’t be either. The LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate system adjusts from 5 psi to 100 psi so you can fine-tune support for towing or unloaded driving. Inflate both sides equally for even front-to-back leveling or independently for side-to-side correction when hauling uneven loads. Manual inflation valves and air lines are included, and an optional compressor system can be added later for in-cab control.
These springs are made from 2-ply, fabric-reinforced rubber with high-strength Zytel nylon endcaps that are lighter, stronger, and more corrosion resistant than steel. Air Lift’s exclusive upper and lower roll plates protect the bags from damage and extend service life. The combination of durable materials and smart design gives long-lasting support through years of towing, hauling, and hard use.

Everything you need comes in the box—mounting brackets, hardware, air lines, and manual inflation valves. The system mounts cleanly on the rear axle without complex modifications. Once installed, just pump in air through the inflation valves (usually on the bumper) to dial in your pressure. It’s a straightforward setup that makes it easy to get reliable suspension support right in your own driveway.

Product works great and helps level the truck during towing. I have noticed a difference in the amount of travel my back wheels have when offloading. But I knew that would be a sacrifice.

Happy to hear these are getting the job done! Your set up looks great, and man! What a beautiful picture. Blue, sunny skies, green grass, a cool breeze (I'd wager) perfect day to hitch up the trailer and get some work done!

Been great! I really don’t like the internal jounce stops though. When you are unloaded and running lower bag pressure, a dip or bump will hit the bump stops really hard and jar your passengers in the backseat. It’s almost too uncomfortable to ride in the backseat now. As for the loaded and high pressure performance it’s great! Great handling and no sag at all when towing.

Install looks fantastic Lloyd! Glad to hear they helped with the side to side movement. What kind of trailer are you going to be towing with the new set-up? Fun camper, work trailer?

Wow, Brian. Thanks so much for your in depth review and experience with installing the air bags. You gave some really solid tips and advice, especially the one about removing the tires. How's the ride now when you're off road?

What all did you end up having to do to the brackets to get them to fit, if you don't mind sharing?

Glad to hear you are keeping air in there when not in use Bradley! Are you always going to the same place on those 700 mile trips?

This product has been holding up in the Midwest climate. We have used it several times for hauling our camper. The bags are still in great shape.
