The Angled Series is a low-profile, single-lid, crossover box developed to accommodate the storage needs of smaller import trucks with a unique shape that allows it to fit the contours of the wheel well. This multifunction utility box has a large lip that mounts on the truck bed rails, fitting snugly behind the cab. Two super-duty lift cylinders help to raise the insulated, beveled lid and hold it open at a full 90 degrees for easy access to your gear. This box also features two stainless steel paddle-lift handles in the front of the box on both sides, with a secure lock on the driver's side to protect the contents from the elements and from theft.

Today on our 2004 Dodge Dakota well be test fitting the UWS Truck Bed Tool Box Crossover Style Single Lid Series at 7.6 cubic feet. This is part number UWS00402. Now this Crossover Style Toolbox is made of aluminum diamond plate. The seams on this box are fully welded and are guaranteed not to rust. Youll notice the box has two stainless steel latches which are easily accessible from the side of the truck. The drivers side has a lock on it.

Youre supplied with two keys for this lock. Well simply lock the handle which locks both handles on either side of the box. After unlocking it, both handles will operate the lid. This box measures 63 inches long by 19-1/4 inches wide by 13-1/2 inches deep. The box sits 4 inches above the bed rail.

Also included with the truck box are two J hooks, flat washers and two lock nuts. These are used to secure your box to the truck. That does it for the UWS Truck Bed Tool Box Crossover Style Single Lid Series part number UWS00402 on our 2004 Dodge Dakota.

Really awesome box so far, fits my 2025 F150 perfect imo. The 69 inch width is ideal because it sits directly on the outside factory rail and stays nicely behind your cab - anything wider would be sticking out past your cab. It does feel like it could go deeper into the truck bed - it sits pretty high up but thats also good because it gives you a lot of bed space hence the crossover. The 4inch looks bad to the bone the slim boxes are ok but I dont like that look, plus the 4 inch (off the rails) gives you more space with an inch less of total depth. Anyway this is a great box for an F150. It came packed great with no damage.

This toolbox is great for a midsize truck, but terrible in the snow for my model. The seal still allows for snow to blow up and into the box, covering my gear. It's fine in the rain, but not when snow blows up from the bed while driving. Not all trucks have this "feature" so it might be perfectly fine for others; just an annoying surprise for me.

Securing tool box was a challenge. The included “J” hooks did not secure box to the truck. Had to purchase alternative materials to secure tool box. Would not recommend this item

You mentioned that you were not able to secure the box to the truck with the J hook hardware. I wanted to see if you could explain in more detail what happened with the J hook hardware. What do you have to do to install the toolbox? Would you be able to send a picture?

“J” hooks too long to tighten tool box to bed of truck. Called etrailer customer service of my issue. Unable to help. He suggested I call UWS manufacturer. They said the “J” hooks cannot be tightly secure to truck. Can only be loosely fitted. Suggested to try other types of hangers. I purchased washers, as spacers, to help tighten nuts. Also, used Tread lock &amp wing nuts to help from getting loose. At this time, no issues.
