This padded rack lets you carry 5 bikes on your truck bed tailgate. It's a great alternative to fork blocks, it doesn't require drilling into your truck bed, and you don't have to remove your bikes' front wheels.

The Tailwhip padded tailgate bike rack is a quick and easy alternative to fork blocks. It saves you from having to remove the front wheels on your bikes and from drilling into your truck bed. And if you normally use a hitch rack, but will be using your hitch to tow, this rack lets you bring up to 5 bikes as well. Hook-and-loop straps secure your bikes to the rack and the center flap provides access to your tailgate handle.
A series of sewn-on loops along the top of the rack provide anchor points for your bikes. Use the included hook-and-loop straps to secure your bikes to the tie-down points to prevent your bikes from shifting during transport. Additional straps (sold separately) are available if you lose one.
The center flap lets you access your tailgate handle without having to remove the pad so you can lower your tailgate. The flap secures with a hook-and-loop fastener.
The rack is made of heavy-duty, ballistic tarpaulin. A high-density foam core protects your tailgate and your bikes from dents and dings. The fleece lining provides a soft, smooth surface that won't scratch or scuff your tailgate.
To install the rack just slide it over your tailgate and use the 3 integrated tie-down straps wrap to secure it in place.

This product fits over the tailgate of our full size pick up. We bought this product because we wanted to take our bikes with us on our camping trips. We had a receiver bike rack but needed some way to carry our bikes securely while pulling our travel trailer. We also wanted to be able to carry our grandkids bikes. We have secured at least 5 bikes with the Swagman Tailwhip Tailgate Pad and Bike Rack.
The only problem we had was that the velcro tie downs didn't fasten as tight as we would have liked. We have used additional bungie cords to keep the bikes in place. That is the reason this review did not get a 5 star.
We are very happy with this product.
Product was delivered sooner than expected and is of good quality. Fits 2016 Tundra perfectly. Placement took less than 5 mins, and removal takes about 10 seconds. Mine came with a click strap on the flap where the handle/camera are, which is used to fold flap back over tailgate leaving the camera available for use but securing the flap on backside of tailgate. The video does not show that but to me is a great feature.

We love this product and use it often. My only frustration is that I have trouble feeding the straps up through the tailgate. You need a second person or someone with long arms to do it easily.
Love this product, the only inconvenient is I cannot close my truck bed covers when installed.
Well made ,simple to use and not over engineered. Perfect fit. Allows me to carry my two mountain bikes along with kayaks during our camping trips.

It’s been through several rain storms and I’s holding up great. Works as advertised. Love Swagman products. Not over engineered just works.
This is a great product and really easy to use. I love they my bikes don’t take up the entire bed and that they don’t stick out 6 feet past my bumper.
Once again, etrailer delivers. Great product, and they always makes sure they fit!
Very satisfied with this product! It is plug & play out of the box, it takes 1-2 minutes to install, and it fit my Honda tailgate like a glove. The cover is lightweight yet fully protects my trucks finish. The Swagman is an excellent value.
The black strap fasteners/clamps are sewn on the inside of the bed which makes it impossible for one person to put it on and difficult for two people. It would be better if they were on the outside of the truck bed.
Easy to install and works well for our 2 bikes. Not sure I would recommend any tweaks to change its function.
This bike is of excellent quality. Every time I ride it I am amazed by its ride. It is excellent.
