Question:
I was wondering if this pad will withstand cold temperatures like minus 20 to minus 30 below. I am afraid it might crack in the cold? Thank you.

The Swagman Tailwhip, part # S64760 is a great pick for the 2017 GMC Sierra 3500. I reached out to Swagman about the rack's temperature sensitivity.
They confirmed that the rack would be just fine, but the foam would be extremely hard at -20 to -30 below zero. This risks damage to your bikes, but would perform substantially better than a metal rack in those temperatures.
